Damn, what a talent we lost so early. Critics who thought Jeff Buckley was gonna be the "next great alt-rock savior" before listening to this in 1994, being disappointed with the album and retracting that statement, could not be more wrong because he WAS the next great alt-rock savior, and this might be one of the greatest albums ever made. Some friends recommended I listen to a Swans album since I already listen to a few songs from them myself (mostly from this album), so because of that I thought this would be a good first album for me to get introduced to them.

Wow, this album is fucking generational.

There is genuinely not a single dud on this album. I guess everyone hates Bongo Season but even that is incredible.
I still have much more to listen to but this might've absolutely swept CLEAN every other 2024 release.
