FKA twigs - CAPRISONGS
82

while it doesn't necessarily blow it out of the water, it's certainly an avid try and does what it meant to accomplish to a degree. there are a couple songs on here that are iffy but overall a solid take on music and a good listen.

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert

THE VIBES ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! what a crazy album! it takes me to places i've never been. i really couldn't have asked for a better album from her. there are no skips whatsoever. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mitski - Laurel Hell
81

while a strong follow-up to her previous work, it doesn't exactly land the mark in some songs. i find a few to be rather bland. on the other hand, there are songs like "valentine, texas" and "the only heartbreaker" that have beautiful instrumentals to back emotional vocals. overall, a pretty good listen.

MARINA - The Family Jewels
94

this album always left me speechless with its vocal harmonies and beautiful instrumentation. i always found myself coming back to this album again and again for more. one of my favorites from her, if not my favorite.

Isadora - Isadora
96

how peaceful, how gracious this album is. extremely emotional, especially if you can understand the lyrics.

Vashti Bunyan - Just Another Diamond Day
100

a total comfort album. soothing, poetic lyrics and calming instruments fill the mind with a vision of a peaceful life.

The Gentle People - Soundtracks for Living
90

blissful and nostalgic, it really brings the listener into a state of euphoria. its lullaby-like melodies and pretty vocals draw the listener into a world of pure nostalgia. and yes i said nostalgia again.

Sonne Hagal - Ockerwasser
88

soulful guitars and dark vocals accompany this album, which fills the heart with deep emotions. love it.

Éliane Radigue - Triptych

i saw a comment on the youtube video for this album that puts it pretty well, though i can't find it anymore so i'll have to paraphrase: "came in looking for good music, left with mild radiation."

Remi Wolf - Juno
100

there are absolutely no skips on this album. all songs hold their ground respectively while still maintaining a flow from one song to the next. i would honestly have this in my top 10 albums of 2021 that i've listened to.

100

the essential introduction to post-punk and post-rock music. it haunts the soul with droning synths and dreary guitars (in a good way). one of my top post-rock albums of all time.

100

there are no bad tracks on this album, it is fresh and innovative in both sound and lyricism. bold, thumping drums and minimalistic instrumentals give rise to empowering vocals that shake you to your core.

Haircuts For Men - когда зло господствует
100

this album is definitely in my top 25 albums of all time. there are absolutely no skips. every time i wanna listen to this, i listen all the way through. i can't pick out one bad song honestly.

Arca - Arca
100

with haunting lyrics and intricate vocal distortions, arca's self-titled album provides a deep perspective into the emotions that occupy her mind. i couldn't ask for a better album tbh. it's both beautiful and disturbing.

Doopees - Doopee Time
100

this album takes me to another place. it is enthralling and puts you in a trance that you cannot escape until breaking free in the final song. from the goofy antics of DOOPEE TIME to the passionate and heartbreaking chord progressions of SOME DAY, THAT PLACE IN TIME, this album is timeless and will never leave me nothing short of speechless.
