Paul McCartney - Chaos and Creation in the Backyard
65

I must say I'm very surprised by this album. This just proves that McCartney still has got it. This album is just very relaxing. An album to not only play in the background while doing things but to fully listen too and enjoy.

'Jenny Wren' is one of the songs that standout on this album. In the style of the about 5 decade prior 'Blackbird', 'Jenny Wren' pays homage to its predecessor with the fingerpicking style no other McCartney song does.

近藤浩治 [Koji Kondo] - Super Mario 64 Original Soundtrack

Super Mario 64, The ground-breaking point in 3D platformer history.

The Mario series has a lot of notable catchy songs that get stuck in your mind and make the playthrough of the game more enjoyable. Mario 64 does this the best and in my opinion has one of the greatest soundtracks in video game history. The game can not be separated from its music. The sound track is just iconic and is vastly different from the original 8 bit game music.

Thank You Mario 64.

RADIOHEAD
THE BENDS REVIEW

Planet Telex:
Good Start to the Album, very interesting stuff. The Mic/Vocals sound very good, the vocals come out very clean. Although it’s a bit repetitive it is very just different and stands out compared to other songs I have heard, have not heard something like this before. I also like the Piano riff.

The Bends:
Wow, What a start to the song. Very Strong and powerful. Guitar is also pretty good in this. There is a part of the song where it sounds like ... read more

George Harrison - Living in the Material World

After the success of All Things Must Pass, George Harrison's Living the the Material World is one of the most peaceful relaxing experience I have had while listening to an album. This album really made me appreciate the art of George and look up to him more. I was worried that going into this album I would be disappointed with a downfall since All Things Must Pass but I'm very happy to say I was mistaken.

This album follows the soft spoken nature of the last album. Give Me Love ... read more

Buckingham Nicks kicks off the start to Linsey and Stevie's musical career. Pre Fleetwood Mac Linsey shows of his unique fingerpicking skills and styles straight from the first song on the album. I can see why Mick Fleetwood was impressed.

The main stand out track is 'Stephanie' for me. Taking the style of 'Never Going Back Again' this beautiful instrumental. Its insane to think that someone can play this on guitar and is fully mind-blowing to me.

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

Fleetwood Mac's Rumours is not a stepping stone by a giant leap in music as a whole. This sets the whole standard for not only Fleetwood Mac's later succuss but albums. Every single member gives there all in this album and really puts into perspective the heartbreak and growth each member went through while writing this masterpiece.

Every song on this album is amazing except the last 2 which I don't really care for but are still pretty amazing. No song on here is a skip and this ... read more

The Rock-afire Explosion - Gee, Our 1st Album!
88

As a Massive Rock Afire Explosion fan, This is a perfect album. If you are introducing anyone to the Rock Afire I would show them this album. The Tropical Cleaners kill it with there covers making them sometimes better than the original songs.

The compositions Burt Wilson did for this album will never be matched again in the world of Animatronic Bands.

Top 3 Songs:
- You May Be Right
- Music Goes Round and Round
- Satisfaction Medley

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)

The Color Blue has not been the same since this albums release.

Every time I look at the colour Blue, I think of this album. River's was in his element here I believe and that fact that this was there first album can be really surprising.

From the start from 'My Name Is Jonas' they get straight to the point providing the Alternative Rock that will be used throughout the entire album. From the masterpiece of 'Buddy Holly' the album just gets better.

Wings - Wings at the Speed of Sound

Wings at the Speed of Sound falls under the category of most of Wings discography falls under, Good but forgettable after a while. Don't get me wrong, amazing songs have been written by them and I would say they are one of my favourite bands. But, albums like Wild Life don't really do stuff to me compared to the masterminds of Band on the Run and Venus and Mars.

This album is not like Wild Life, but not like Band on the Run. Its somewhere in the middle. Some great songs where ... read more

Wings - Wild Life

I don't really like Wild Life, Nothing stood out to me and was just a bit of a let down to be honest. I don't remember like anything on this album sadly and really wished it was better. Its just very forgettable to be, I don't know. I will probably have to listen to it another time to fully get it.

This album is good background music though and first listened to it while doing some work.

But all together, nothing really to say about this album. Just wish it could be ... read more

Wings - Back to the Egg

This Pop Rock album is the last Wings album made by the band. I am finding it hard to write about this album, It can be really groovy in some bits but besides that just seems to lack in a lot of things. A lot of the songs seem throw away sadly and do not stand out at all to me. This is pretty much how I feel about Wings discography, Some amazing albums like "Band on the Run" and "Venus and Mars" which are some of my favourites of all time don't compare to the lack ... read more

Wings - London Town

For an album named "London Town" you would expect music based on London and that is what's done. Although not Wings best album they really put you in the mood and make it real vibey. A nice background music album, something to listen to when in a café.

None of the songs really stood out to me that much and I don't remember much. But from what I remember, it is very Paul McCartney. I really wish I remembered this album more. I will most likely review and listen to ... read more

George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
90

Being the first solo Beatles album to hit #1 George Harrison highlights that he doesn't need the other Beatles to make an amazing album. All Things Must Pass is a landmark album, An album you have to stop by to see and listen too. Its crazy to think that from the start of his solo career (Electronic Sounds and Wonderwall Music do not exist.) he has that signature slide guitar sound.

The first 2 Discs are incredible, The reason this album is amazing and has lasted the test of time very ... read more

Wings - Band on the Run

Band On The Run, an album so amazing that I don't know how to start writing this. Paul McCartney really showed the critics of the time that it wasn't the Beatles that made McCartney big, But it was McCartney that made McCartney big.

Coming after the mediocre albums of Wild Life and Red Rose Speedway, Band On The Run is what wings needed to succeed. Something unique that would stand out, something catchy that would get stuck in your mind.

From the start of the album you know you are ... read more

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

Perfect Album, Brain Wilson actually killed it when writing it. He is a genius, there is no better way of putting it. I can't put into words how much I love this album and Brian Wilson's work. There is a biopic about Brian writing this album and his later years which is one of my all time favourite movies. It's called "Love and Mercy" and I highly recommend watching the movie after listening to this masterpiece.

Every song on this works so well and just heightens the ... read more

Michael Jackson - Off the Wall

Very Disco. Being his first major album Michael really tries with this, and it shows. His vocals really shine through and you immediately know its a Michael Jackson album by the first song.

For me, a lot of the songs blend into one an other, keeping the Disco vibe that Michael was going for. Although the ones that really stand out are definitely my favourite. "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough" is an amazing song, an amazing opener, but it goes on for a bit too long. Good ... read more

The Muppets - The Muppet Movie

I'm a big Muppets guy so this easy for me to review, An easy 90. I've been making a Kermit Replica at the moment but sadly that's irrelevant to this review. My whole life I have been a Muppet fan and I have grown up on this movie. About a year ago I got the soundtrack on Vinyl and It is one of the best things I've ever brought.

I can't express how much this album means to me and how I know all these songs off by hard, it was so hard to rank a top 3 because all of these ... read more

Paul McCartney - McCartney II

Very interesting album by McCartney here, Very experimental. Like "McCartney I" a lot of the album is made up by Instrumental tracks, The tracks here are very Synth heavy, I can picture Paul having the time of his life experimenting with all the different effects he could get away with. This album all up is a good listen, an experience. But some of these tracks standing alone don't work the best.

I will probably have to listen to this album again to fully get it. But, in the ... read more

I seriously love this album for some reason, I only got on it recently and never really took notice of it before. I always thought it was just a regular wings album but boy was I proven wrong. The first two tracks are insanely good and blend in perfectly with one and other. Everything just follows suit, Following the theme but also making the songs unique and different.

One track does lack though, that track being the let down called "Spirts of Ancient Egypt". It just don't do ... read more

Paul McCartney - Tug of War

I listened to this album yesterday and was a bit surprised by it. Although some songs blend into one and other it still is a good album to listen too. Sadly I don't remember much of it but will most likely listen to it again. This is a good McCartney come back album and really makes up for Paul's last album "McCartney 2"

I must add that "Here Today" is an absolute masterpiece and is one of the best tribute songs to ever be written. To think Paul McCartney wrote ... read more
