I can't possibly imagine what it was like for a Boards of Canada fan to wait 13 years for this release, I only got to listen to the duo in late 2024, but I can assure that the teasers, release, and tracks featured in this record have left me with chills.

Expanding my Industrial Metal ears by listening to Rammstein for the first time!
The Intro/Title Track is great! Love these guitar tunes, they perfectly put you in the mood for the album.
Engel is heavier and slower, and I like the whistling throughout the track, but WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MUSIC VIDEO??! The breakdown bridge is fire, with the orchestral hits and everything.

Dipping my toes into Black Metal and honestly this was a perfectly fine, albeit underwhelming start, the album in general bangs with fast-paced metal anthems, but doesn't seem to vary in sound that much, along with having some other elements I'd like to discuss:

this one is good too, i think they show more of their kanye influence on this album compared to what i've heard from them before, which isn't bad at all! i just didn't find this record that impressive.

pretty dang solid! underscore's singing is really pretty and her hyperpop production has her own touch to it, pretty solid overall!
