i can literally hear them switching through youtube tabs to pause and unpause each song
goodbye, black dresses. we love what you brought to the table. in a way, this album feels like a complex mourning to me. its complicated and kind of scary. but I truly feel as though its hit me harder than I thought. i don't do well with long albums, but hey, it just works for me. thank you for the music, black dresses. :)
only getting a lower rating than face to face bc its missing some of the bangin lines that the remake had.
the mastering tho :sob: the mastering gets a solid 0 from me
maybe i need more time to let it click, but honestly, it was just a very... average black dresses release to me.
boomerang here.
its one of the few albums that i would actually call "traumacore" that isnt about trauma at all.
this is a short review until i can flesh it out more. this album sums up mania really fucking well.
just keep that in mind. its basically perfect....
favourite tracks: father time, amanita, monkey riches, wide eyed, mercury man
weakest tracks: pulleys, new town burnout

although i do enjoy the vocal work, i just feel there needs to be more layers and the vocals need to be louder. just needs to be a little crispier if you ask me!
who could dislike a silly song about seeing the best of things :D
review removed for being overly rude
ill sum it up, its too consistent of an album. you cant tell each track from each other and soon it starts to become sickening, but not in the fun way.
thats all you really need to know
boomerang here.
little review for little ep.
so, in case my score doesnt make it clear, i do rank this as my least favourite black dresses release. i just personally feel that these tracks dont compare at all to the versions on wasteisolation. its not really that i prefer the sound on wasteisolation. i really adore the majority of their sound phases aside from peaceful as hell's gentle rock, and i even love their weird dorky pop works; the problem that arises to me about this ep though is ... read more
