My favorite Smiths album.
I love everything on it......except the title track. If it was removed, I'd have to call this their best album. Anyway, all the tracks before the last are bangers, especially The Headmaster Ritual and Barbarism Begins at Home
This may not be my favorite Smiths album, but it is for sure their best. Incredibly cohesive and so entertaining to listen to.
Favorites: Title track, I Know It's Over, Never Had No One Ever, Bigmouth Strikes Again, The Boy With the Thorn in His Side, Some Girls are Bigger than Others.
Least Favorites: N/A
Always loved how different this sounded from their other stuff. Death of a Disco Dancer alone makes this worth listening to.
A really solid debut album that I like more and more each time I listen. I used to hate Miserable Lie, now I like its energy. The Hand That Rocks the Cradle is by far my least favorite due to how boring and uninteresting it is. Reel Around the Fountain is really emotional and hits me in the gut every time, by far my favorite track.
Tied with More Songs About Buildings and Food as my favorite Talking Heads album. If you want an album with consistently amazing bangers then this must be the place for you.
My personal favorite Talking Heads album. The similar feel of most songs allows for smoother transitions between tracks. I used to not really enjoy listening to The Big Country but now it's just a complete vibe. Brian Eno's production is amazing and makes songs that would have been just good without him into amazing ones, like Stay Hungry and Artists Only. Just so consistently groovy and never fails to make me excited every time I revisit. Definitely in my top 3 favorite albums of all time.
