Travis Scott - UTOPIA
85

WOW...

The album's guest list blows the roof - Beyoncé, Drake, James Blake, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny... In general, in this aspect, the appeal to the mainstream was powerful. Musically, Travis does not deviate from his, let's say, home harbor, and continues his journey through trap-hop, while experimenting with the sound and mixing different hints of hip-hop into this obscenely tasty cocktail, which turned out to be his new album.

The only thing is... Travis released the single ... read more

Carly Rae Jepsen - The Loveliest Time
88

In general, Carly occupied the niche of pop girl darling, quietly working at her own pace and releasing tasteful pop records that seem to sound refreshing and hit, but do not contain hits in themselves. "The Loveliest Time" somehow turned out to be the perfect follow-up to her magnum opus "EMOTION", Carly's stunning 2015 work that is a must listen for anyone who appreciates quality pop music. If "EMOTION" drew its inspiration from the 80s, "The Loveliest ... read more

This should've never seen the light of day

Rita Ora - You & I

Writing music is Rita's hidden talent! 🔥🔥🔥 Lets hope it'll stay hidden forever 💥💥💥

Julie Byrne - The Greater Wings
91

This is where the dam of my top ten favorite albums of the year suddenly burst. The combination of unobtrusive melodies, Julia's deep and languid voice draws some incredible fabulous landscape of the world, from which one simply does not want to leave. My playlist has been wildly stagnant in the last couple of months, so this incredibly soulful folk creation truly blew me away with its simplicity. In the world of "The Greater Wings" you want to drown, get stuck in this colorful ... read more

ANOHNI and the Johnsons - My Back Was a Bridge for You to Cross
82

Here the low and sonorous timbre of the singer plays into the hands of the music. It turns out a kind of intimate concert in a bar somewhere at the end of the world. This sensual monologue of the artist penetrates into the depths of the soul and touches long-forgotten emotional strings, forcing, despite the severity of the topics raised, to drown and enjoy what is happening. If I were to experience the approaching end of the world, then only this way.

PVRIS - EVERGREEN
68

It took the team 3 years to finish this record. During this time, they released a couple of very cool off-album singles, a soundtrack for the first season of Arcane and a composition for the international League Of Legends championship. And it seems that the main problem of the album was born approximately because of the last two tracks. When PVRIS' lead singer Lynn Gunn stepped into the limelight and became the band's primary track writer, the sound of the band became very electropop. Then ... read more

Nicki Minaj - The Pinkprint
84

In the most amusing way, in this album, you can easily trace the trends of pop music of that time, so “The Pinkprint” plays very well on two fields at once - as a fierce rap record and a decent pop album, equilibrating and jumping one way or the other. This abundance of juicy trap beats can be seen in huge hits of that period "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry and Juicy Jay, and in "Black Widow" by Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora. With this album, Minaj managed to perfectly ... read more

Kesha - Gag Order
93

After a series of high-profile hits, Kesha's career went downhill, for which you definitely cannot thank the lawsuit that has been going on for ten years now against a famous music producer whose name rhymes with "Hector Duke". Kesha was bound by a contract with the label of this producer and for ten years was left without proper attention and funding. So the release of "Gag Order" can be considered a real celebration for the artist, because now she is free to do what she ... read more

Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation
50

It is funny how the only summer thing in this album is the cover and the lead single. Absolutely boring and bleak record, Miley once again is put into a cage by weak songwriting which does not live up to her potential and charisma.

Puzzle Muteson - Theatrics
88

Authenticity of the lyrics and the sound combined with dreamy vocals provided by Puzzle combine into an experience worth going through at least once - melancholic and magical compilation of captivating stories.

Ed Sheeran - =
70

Honestly, when I began listening to this record, I was aiming way lower, but Ed managed to surprise me and gave me a record I kinda needed - soft, sweet and just nice, idk. The album isn't any kind of a breakthrough, the album isn't a step to a different direction for Sheeran as an artist, but is the embodiment of all the good things Ed can give to the world. I know the record is probaly gonna be destroyed by the regular listeners and the critics, but I'm gonna start off the cycle with a review ... read more

Oh boy, am I mad...

I honestly think this album deserves a much lower score, but I just can't make myself put it, because I really do love Lorde on some subconsious/DNA level or something.

While Melodrama and Pure Heroine had the power TO MOVE ME, to MAKE ME FEEL a spectre of emotions, so different and rich, this album feels like just a piece of music.

I was excited so much when I heard that Lorde was coming back after a hiatus and I was equally devastated by how the album lacks any value ... read more

Ava Max - Heaven & Hell
39

The worst thing about this album is that I even cannot hate on it properly, because all of the songs are so empty that they just don't leave a single emotion after a listen. With this album Ava managed to outdone her worst and most generic music creating a record that is completely not worth of a fraction of anybody's time nor any kind of attention.

Taylor Swift - folklore
100

On her 8th studio record Taylor does the thing a lot of people wanted her to do - she graduates from being a pop icon to being a music icon, overall. As for me, I think the graduation went well and we got to witness Swift's writing skills at their best. This is her most mature album, containing the most captivating lyrics of her career. Special thanks to people, who made this album the way it is - Aaron Dessner, Bon Iver, Jack Antonoff & William Bowery. Can't wait to see what Taylor will do ... read more

BANKS - Gimme
100

That's a comeback we deserve. Amazing sound.

P!nk - Hurts 2B Human
72

Ok, 72 points may look high, but I am too loyal, when I rate albums of people, who I love and admire. This is very weak for Pink, the only song that shook me was 90 Days, it's just stunning. I hope, next time it'll be much better..

Billie Eilish - WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?
91

In her debut LP Billie Eilish went as far as possible from sound she had on her debut EP. She showed a much darker side of herself. Also, album itself is very easy to listen to, it's easily stuck on repeat, because all the songs are different. I love it.

XOV - Nebula
80

This ep was one of the main themes of the end of 2018 for me. XOV again made me emotional about his work.
