Standouts: Will Anybody Ever Love Me?, Shit Talk, My Red Little Fox
Feels redolent of Carrie & Lowell. The moment the elements start to boil down and come into play at 2:11, I started bursting into tears. Sufjan, man, you feel like a hug that soothes me after all the shit I've been through. This is one of three tracks that evoked the same emotion released this year. It does not deserve to be celebrated as if it's something that has revolutionized pop. A score this high? Think again.
Somehow, it still managed to become iconic. This deserves at least an 80.
I'd be lying if I didn't find Line Without a Hook and Mr. Loverman unforgettable.
They be naming a track Lana Del Rey, while Lana names hers Paris, Texas. One of the best things that happened this year.
This song especially reminded me of my ex, and the fact that this was released a year after we broke up. The same words he said, "I apologize for coming into your life just to ruin it again." This song is so hard to tolerate the nicest way possible.
This was a tad above half-assed but it could've done more work.

The instrumentation is great. I wish I could say the same for the lyrics, but pretty fine overall.
