I prefer the organic sound palette a lot more in the context of this album.
This is like the would-be growing pain into a fully realised new sound had the band not broken up right after. There's some really interesting ideas and colours all over the album, it's a shame that the quality of execution wasn't very consistent. Cedric's vocals seem less inspired and the creative vision seems less clear.
I'm glad people are starting to realise the quality in this album, it definitely wasn't received well at release but contains some of their most memorable (and stunning) song-writing.
The first time their ambition got ahead of their execution. still very enjoyable, I will tolerate no Amp hate.
