Ye does nothing new but it’s a comeback to what he does best, some really good soul-sampling, lyrics where he’s actually coherent and singing about something that’s not beautiful big titty butt naked bitches or h!tler, also some good industrial production in some tracks reminiscent of Yeezus. Overall, I can’t say Ye has outdone himself for this is just a remembrance of what he’s good at after a really long and weird detour and moreover, it finally dropped with an ... read more
This album is a whole different beast compared to Half Blood. Way tighter in sound and flow. The transitions are smooth, the vibes don’t clash like before, and it feels like slayr finally locked into his zone. Tracks like Flashout Freestyle, Daytona, and Toxic are peak rage. The shift in Toxic midway is amazing, but instead of derailing like Phone (Interlude), it flips the sound into something different but better. If the album was just the first 6 tracks, it’d be an easy 10/10. It kinda goes downhill from Track 7, not that the production is bad or anything, it’s insanely good. The songs are just not that catchy and feel out of sync with the rest of the album before the Interlude. slayr wears his influences on his sleeves and still does it so good, Nettspend, Ken Carson, Jane Remover, Destroy Lonely, Carti, if you like any of these artists, you need to check out slayr rn. A mix tape from a rap collective in the big 2026! It has a really fun sound and a cool aesthetic that Denzel Curry and crew have come up with. TiaCorine, Denzel and Ferg carry the mixtape for the most part. MUTT THAT BIH is the standout track. Loved 1900Rugrat's feature on that track. Really underrated features from LAZER DIM 700, BKTHERULA and Rich The Kid. A decent 7.
