Kanye West - The College Dropout
100

It's uncommon to see an artist peak with their first attempt, but Kanye is one of those rare few. The College Dropout is up there in contention for the greatest debut album of any artist, primarily due to it's elite level sampling in it's production alongside iconic lyrics and fun delivery from Kanye. He raps a lot about his personal life and trying to make it in the music industry, and he did it in a way that differed from the violent subject matter that was expected from rap ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$

ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ sees Joey stray a bit more away from the boom-bap sound that he started off with and turn up the consciousness and politics up to a 10. This album is the most consistent out of any project he's put out, with none of the tracks feeling out of place or lackluster. The production is a little more grimy and dark, which reflects the subject matter, but the songs with more upbeat sounds are still very good. Joey's lyrics continue to be his greatest strength, rapping ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - B4.DA.$$

His lyricism is undoubtedly the best part of his music, but his beat selection and his flow are still up there at the top. I still prefer 1999 because it's more replayable and I think it's way more ... read more

Jack Off Jill - Clear Hearts Grey Flowers

I haven't heard a lot of alt-rock but CHGF was a very enjoyable listen. The instrumentals are memorable and aggressive, and Jessicka Addams kills it on the vocals. Once I get more exposure to the genre, my rating will definitely go up.
