Man this album is real good. Beautiful vocals from James, experimental instrumentation, solid vocals, the whole shabang. Probably my favourite album of his (yeah I prefer it over Overgrown and James Blake). But I gotta say I'm really not a fan of the cover. James just looks really awkwardly placed on it and doesn't feel like he's in the scene he's portraying. Also the missing parts of him revealing his body's colour is just unappealing to me. Its brightness is too low to me and makes what I ... read more
I do have to say the way Jayli delivers her vocals is very similar to something you'd find on an Alessia Cara song. So on that front, there is quite a bit left to be desired in terms of wanting a more unique voice. But with that said, that's really my only critism! The production was very good, and so was the messaging of the EP as well! Can't wait to see where the future of Jayli Wolf's music goes from here!
Favourite tracks: Hush, Child Of The Government, Hell
I don't find the Travis Scott comparisons fair in all honesty. His delivery is incredibly different to what Travis would give for the most part and I find that the beats are uniquely Cudi. It really feels like a necessary part in the MOTM series in all honesty. At first I shied away from the trap production but the more I listen to it the more I realize little details I never realized in the first listen such as hums in the beat of "Dive". All in all, this is my account imma rate Cudi ... read more
One of the most underrated albums of all time in my opinion. The world building of the album present within every aspect of the production from the mixing, to the synth leads, even to the instrumentals themselves are immaculate on songs like "Satellite Flight", "Too Bad I Have To Destroy You Now" and "Internal Bleeding". To add, every song feels like they come in order of each other in a story, leaving off on a tragic end to the story on "Troubled Boy". ... read more
Decently underrated record tbh. I think the album holds some very good CSH songs (I'd even go as far to say some of my favourites of theirs) like Deadlines (Hostile) and Life Worth Missing. I don't think it's anything extraordinary in their discog, but I did come out of it thinking "Yeah that was a nice listen" rather than thinking it was mid or something. If Golden Years and Running Up That Hill made it onto MADLO rather than the EP, the record's rating would've definitely gone way ... read more
I've been seeing some people say that WWAFAWDWG is better than Happier Than Ever and I can't help but disagree. Billie's embracing of a lighter yet still melancholic tone is perfect for her voice rather than just alright as seen with her debut album in my opinion. Regardless of comparing this with her first album though, this is absolutely fantastic from front to back. Vocal performances are beautiful epescially on "GOLDWING", "Halley's Comet", and "Male Fantasy". ... read more
I found the instrumentals on the album from front to back to be really solid. Sure on some songs they seemed like cheesy rock songs, but they're good nevertheless. The vocals are underwhelming on some parts, and the lyrics are all over the place on some songs. Which keep me from enjoying it more than a 69/100. Still has some pretty good songs tho on the album nonetheless.
Best Songs: This Song Is A Mess But So Am I, Over Before It Began, Fake I.D.
My personal least favourite Cudi project. It's got some really great songs, but the majority are too quiet and boring for me to feel like they aren't filler to fill the 1 hour and 30 minute time on the record.
AKNC is one of my favourite mixtapes of all time. The quality has not dropped since it's release in 2007, in fact it may have gone up. Cudi being one of the first to rap about mental health on the main stage is incredibly admirable and the way he conveys the messages, the production, the hooks, they're all amazing. Though at some points it isn't exactly polished super well, that's to be expected from a mixtape. Had this been an album, it would've been a 10, no doubt about it.

I found the album to be really boring. I can appreciate that it has better production and more of a structure than Ballads 1. That I'll give it. Plus, there are some great songs with amazing vocals such as Run, Sanctuary, High Hopes and Ew just to name a few. However, the majority are forgettable and too quiet. I understand that the quietness is intentional to give off a lonely vibe, but there were better ways to go about this in my opinion.

He's next up seriously. Brandon's voice is definitely a very unique voice in the singer-songwritter genre. While Weep (his best song in my opinion) isn't on the record, it still has some of his best songs such as 28 and Makeup. All in all a very great and unique singer-songwritter record.
Best Songs: Makeup, Solo, 28, Mounring
On her best album so far, Three Little Words has a variety of expression sang through Dominique's amazing voice. There are a couple songs that I found were a little forgettable at times, but for the most part it was a great listen!
Best Songs: Grow Mama Grow, Fall And All, Tall Lion Down
Freudian is an amazing album with beautiful vocals from Daniel Caesar and the features present on the record as well. The production was also very solid for the most part, however I found on some songs the instrumentals were somewhat lack luster like on Neu Roses and Take Me Away (feat. Syd) but in the end the vocal performance was stunning. Very solid album.
