As I make my return to reviewing music for the first time I encounter candelabros second album which is shown to incorporate a lot of interesting field recordings and instrumentals that really show that were influenced by bands like black country new road. This is an album where it can transcend language barriers although I understand these lyrics as a native Spanish speaker it makes the raw emotion within both vocalists and see how much the band has improved since their debut and the future of ... read more
and so birthing becomes one of those albums where it’s true beauty becomes unmatched especially as it’s the last big sound album that we will ever see from swans as their future is unknown currently we can cherish this hell of an album which manages to show gira’s true potential as it manages to exceed as we say farewell to the known sound of swans and into the next chapter of the band.
chamber folk is the genre in which the most beautiful vocalists shine imo it has a really nice ease to it when listening to this album it feels so beautiful to hear especially since spanish my first language it feels like the starts allign listening to this beautiful album as it shows Lafourcade's angelic voice truly a one of kind album
went to see them and wow theyre a really great band live ngl okay so this ep is rlly short n sweet nothing too special but at the same time it isnt bad the track starting over is a shoegaze masterpiece imo its such a great track with the vocals overlapping and its just such a amazing track they made but overall its a pretty nice shoegaze ep:)
holy fuck this album has been growing on me relisten after relisten and it all makes sense now. The vocals in the album work amazing with the album and as it tackles the concept of nihilism and existentialism which it makes you think its a concoction of slint, duster and dismemberment plan all in one album that amazed what an amazing swan song for the band unwound truly a way to finish this interesting discography. Insane album that has for sure left a legacy behind.
ok so I found out about this song about my weekly once and it’s pretty good! The album isn’t like amazing or anything but it still has like a unique charm to the sound of nuclear monkey which is nice not saying it’s underrated but I enjoyed the album
Bcnr still stands amazingly strong despite Isaac wood leaving the band it leaves the current members to shine on vocals and change the direction from a post rock, chamber direction to a more baroque direction and after finishing this album it’s clear to say so much has changed and I love to see bcnr still have the same creativity as ants and for the first time. Love to see them still go strong with their third release!!
bcnr going at a folk like direction is something that is actually interesting and I’m HEAVILY pondering and anticipating their new album which releases soon!
my god parannoul cooking a solid and great post rock album was NOT on my 2025 calendar because wow listening to this album which clocks in exactly a hour is just fascinating the fact he managed to incorporate other genres and Korean folk it’s like a mix between gybe and swans and I find that really fascinating to be honest can’t say this is the post rock album of the year yet because we still have other contenders and possibly have one pop up out of nowhere who knows!
its just one track but it shows a lot within phil's life and his writing is just something that is just unique in ways that still amazes me within his discography from both the microphones and mt. eerie. It just makes me just think about my entire life as well because he executes the album in such a way that i feel like this is one of his best works overall. I always look back to my growth and reflecting myself thanks to this album that's just a swan song to the name of the ... read more
Ngl this album is so weird and I love it so much because of how unique it is compared to like the other can albums although tato mago and future days are more interesting to me atleast ege is still one of those albums where you can never get bored of because of how fun and weird this album really is as a whole
ichiko's voice is something that is truly beautiful as she tends to deliver well with her most recent release. It's still a strong album regardless and her music just makes you feel calm and happy thats soothing her music is as a whole
soundtrack is so amazing that i started watching the show itself because of it lol. I recall getting the theme of twin peaks in my spotify weekly and i didnt really think too much about it. Until David Lynch died and i decided to check out the soundtrack itself and i did not expect it in any way to have dream pop songs which blew me away as julee cruise's tracks on this soundtrack are a great example of the dream pop genre. Due to how much the soundtracked reeled me into watching the show ... read more
It's crazy how Gira still cooks masterpieces despite his age and great to see birthing being more anticipated than ever and also the second half reminds me of heroes by david bowie wtf
I return to this website after being a hiatus sort of? But I look into my followers and see a fellow friends latest review. The cover seem interesting and I decided to dive in to see what this album offers. The genres that can be described here are primarily of drone and ambient that it’s done in a way somewhat similar to swans and the low quality makes it sound more appealing as a whole throughout the listening experience. Once I finally arrived to the end of the album I just sat there ... read more
One of the earliest instances of shoegaze at the time and it really fascinates me on how pleasant it genuinely is reminds me a little of both slowdive and mbv not too noisy but at the same time not too dreamy so a really nice mix and it stands up compared to mbv and slowdive due to taking more of psychedelic approach which makes this album work really well!!
I make my return after such a long time and damn I need to do this again I missed reviewing albums so we’re returning with balloonerism another posthumous album by the late artist Mac Miller this album does encapsulate the vibes of his work between 2013-2014 and im genuinely so happy that his family managed to handle his legacy in the best possible way as all of the tracks are great especially with Rick’s piano and tomorrow will never know such a hard hitting album in which ... read more
I just find it really funny the schlatt made a suprise christmas album and it genuinely sounds something from you would hear in the radio in like late 50s to early 70s even up to this day! Great festive album with fire covers
I haven’t made a review in such a long time damn I miss doing reviews anyway,
This is such a great dream pop album and it has a lot of well production and it truly a one of kind especially with the vocals being amazing as well with the instrumentation within the songs
Tyler dropped and he never missed holy shit I knew starting this album I was gonna be amazed by his creativity and he really did deliver with his latest album especially with the unexpected features love my bisexual king
