This is the moment where Swans really started to built their own sound.
A very strong debut from one of the strongest bands of the experimental noisy rock scene.
I have a lot of nice things to talk about it, but if i wanna just be honest, not much in here really lefts you wanting more, unlike their later masterpieces mostly would. For the most part it's impressive, but ends up being just ok.
Still, what a nice debut. They had such a different aproach on making music, one could never tell what they would eventually turn out to be.
Those conceptual lyrics are so well crafted, it's like reading a book.
