I feel like Son Of Spergy hit me at just the right point of the year and at a right point in my life. Such a calming listen, everytime I finish the LP I just feel so relaxed and at peace its crazy. I love how stripped back everything is and every sound, instrument or vocal is placed with such care and thought. Westside Gunn really carved out his own lane at this point, the gritty drums, the jazzy samples and the coke rap delivered so effortless really paints a picture only he can deliver. I also think the LP has a perfect runtime and closes so well with Gus Smacker. I really enjoy HEELS HAVE EYES 3 for what it is and when I have that itch only Gunn can really scratch I now have another LP that is very consistent I can listen to. This is more than a clipse comeback. They came with a complete new reinvention of their sound which is the best thing to come out all year. Pharrel killed it in the production department while pusha and malice sharpened their pens for this one. There is so much to unpack here and the sound is so refreshing I cant help myself but replay it over and over. Well well well. This shit sounds like a parody of what the jackboys 2 mixtape should have been. There are 2-3 songs that are good the rest is either mid or fucking dogshit I mean wtf is PBT or SHYNE. Some songs are actually unlistenable, I dont know how anyone approved of this. Did Travis not listen to his own songs? And how is a posse cut type of mixtape bloated???
