Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper

similar to the cover, the contents of this album feels like floating matter in nothingness. but the job of the artist is to put this matter into a structure, cut out the bad or vain parts. what you’re left with here is some great musical moments that are sadly often lost in chaos, (with the exception of some tracks which do work on their own).

"of course you don't see nothing in this. your music taste is literally as basic as it gets on here. like branch out man no shame in being yourself"
On Scientificman's review of The Velvet Sundown - Dust and Silence
"- if it’s good enough, exceeds them in their intellect and creativity. after nabokov wrote ‘lolita’, he said he himself found new levels of depth in the book for decades. what i mean with this is: the process is irrelevant. a work of art is a work of art, and it doesn’t matter how or with what intention it was made, the only thing that counts is the work of art. And obviously, this Ai music is trash, but it’s going to get better. and yes, i really hate that making music has become this, but we won’t stop it. the velvet sundown can still be better than something made by a human, if i like it or not. (2/2)"
On Scientificman's review of The Velvet Sundown - Dust and Silence
"i don’t like the fact this is ai, i don’t think it’s a good development for art that this happens, not at all. but that doesn’t say anything about the music. A Day In The Life, arguably one of the greatest songs of all time, is better than it’s creators. The idea of throwing john’s and paul’s verses together in the song was not some stroke of genius, it was more like “oh you got this part and you don’t know what to do with it, i got this one and i have know idea where to use it, let’s just throw them together, who cares if they’re not even the same tempo.” and there is something so beautiful in that process, something that gets lost with Ai music. but this example also shows something else: the artist is dead. their work, (1/2)"

On Riley ใƒ„'s review of King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
"@RileyDavidson you’re right. i do the same thing. but so far, every time i really disliked a highly praised album, it was only because of a lack of time and experience with it. i do not believe in some sort of universal personal taste, if something’s good you just need to warm up to it to enjoy it. but i can’t speak for you of course"
On Riley ใƒ„'s review of King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
"@RileyDavidson and i don’t necessarily mean that about the drums here or the vocals there or whatever little detail you can disagree on, that’s taste. but if everyone who has ever talked about music has been praising a specific record for over 55 years again and again, calling it one of the best albums of all time, maybe they were onto something, and maybe there’s some sort of objective thruth behind that."
On Riley ใƒ„'s review of King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
