With this latest release from the band, I ran into some of my usual issues with them again - mainly with the vocals and the lyrics - but the instrumentals here actually surpass those on their third album. Completely unexpected, but this collaborative album has quickly become one of my contenders for AOTY. The entire listening experience just clicks - the tracks build an immersive atmosphere, each one doing so in its own way with distinct elements, and the tracklist feels remarkably consistent.
