I think this is definitely their best work since Plastic Beach. The production is absolutely incredible. The Manifesto and Damascus are my favorite tracks, and I also really loved Orange County. Imo this album showcases a lot of Gorillaz at their best. I am affectionately reminded of tracks like White Flag, Desole, Demon Days, and a lot of the ethereal big production tracks that really make Gorillaz feel larger than life. I’ve listened to this album practically on repeat for the past couple months. I fell in love with the song “Deaf” so thank god I decided to give the rest of the album a try. Deaf, Feeded, Pictures and Pigs are PHENOMENAL tracks in particular (the lurching sound in Pigs also reminds me of one of the ambient sounds in the game Iron Lung !!) I also really enjoy Curtains and Boo. Tainted and Tennis didn’t do as much for me but I still find them to be incredibly atmospheric. ... read more

danny brown and underscores were a match made in heaven

this album is SO much fun holy shit, makes me want to dosey doe. i absolutely love the yodels and energetic vocals, and the whistling is super fun and silly. this is so so good
