JPEGMAFIA is my favorite rap artist and this is the first project of his I just can't glaze like I do his projects before unfortunately. I've been sleeping hard as fuck on PinkPintheress oh my god I love this project so much. "Illegal" Is a perfect curtain opener to the album, even with it becoming a huge tiktok sound for a good few weeks this year I still really enjoyed hearing, this album is meant to be heard like 6 times in a row straight, every new listen you have a new thing to like about each main song. Been in a complete review writer's block for months but when I finally get around to writing a full review it's gonna be long as fuck. I adore the album, I'm incredibly proud of Quadeca and am extremely excited to see what music he makes for the rest of his career.
A holistic uplifting pop experience with some serious dance highlights on it, it's Beyoncé what did you expect? I really like the 3 songs that open the album perfectly laying out how the album will be. "I'M THAT GIRL" is the 'I'm back bitch' statement piece, it feels like a welcome into the album's tone and atmosphere. Good time, good album. One of the most beloved pop albums of the 2010s in the music enjoyer sphere. I didnt love it as much as the others here though I guess. I'll talk about the highlights for me though. "Run Away With Me" is undeniable, plain and simple. It's bad, though it's not the worst thing I've ever heard. I say that giving it one of my lowest ratings for an album, but I didn't really find the album hard to get through at all. Boring and uninspired is how I felt most of the time listening to the album.
The title track opener is only mediocre to me. I don't really get why people are saying it's the worst song on the album; it's easily the most generic and run-of-the-mill Muse song on here. ... read more
