Primal Scream - Screamadelica
80

Pleasantly surprised with this album I’ve always thought primal scream were an indie band based of moving on up but there way more than that it’s like massive attack blended with stone roses with happy Mondays thrown in. Some songs drag on a bit to long but it’s a pretty great album.

The Cure - Disintegration
80

Unpopular opinion but I found this album to be very boring. I know the cure are known for having long songs but I feel there unnecessarily long without really doing much, you could go and make a cup of tea and come back 5 mins later and the song would still be playing the same part. It’s not bad just not very inspiring and would struggle to listen to all 1hr 12 minutes of it again.

Arcade Fire - Funeral

A deeply moving and powerful album. One of the best debut albums ever imo.

Muse - Cryogen
90

This is everything muse are good at in one song. It’s a beauty.

Arlo Parks - Ambiguous Desire
60

Album starts off decent, then the back half becomes a little repetitive and forgettable. But like her overall style and may have scored it slightly low

An album for its time that will forever remain iconic however for me it’s slightly overhyped nevertheless bangers for days.

My New Band Believe - My New Band Believe
70

Some truly amazing compositions and clever songwriting that sometimes is a bit overwhelming at times. My only slight criticism is as you get half way through it can become a little samey and I found myself losing attention then something happens and brings me right back.

Holly Humberstone - Cruel World
60

NO skips just consistent. Nothing that will blow your mind just a catchy pop album and sometime that’s all you need.

Enter Shikari - Lose Your Self
70

If I’m honest I struggle to criticise this album it’s the way the band have gone the past 3 albums and this album it feels very much a collection of the sounds from there past 3 albums put into 1 album. What impresses me the most is the production it’s just so tight and Rou clearly enjoys going down the more electronic drum and bass route while also having moments of real heaviness. The album really feels like you’re going on a journey throughout and I like the way each ... read more

DON BROCO - Nightmare Tripping

Such an underrated band.
Overall it’s a very solid album. Digging the heavier elements especially mixed with shoegaze. My slight negative would be the more the album goes on it can become a little repetitive.
Fav Songs- Nightmare Tripping, Hype Man, Cellophane

underscores - U

Went into this album blindly having not heard of this artist but had seen it had a high score and was glad I gave it a listen as the score is justified. It’s creative yet experimental that combines many different genres, it’s playful but in parts serious. This album will I fear hide in the background but for me it’s an hidden gem and potential contender for AOTY.
Fav song- Music

Inhaler - It Won't Always Be Like This
70

One of the most underrated indie albums of the past few years. Every song is a banger with zero skips overall just a great album.
Fav song- My Honest Face

Muse - Be With You
65

MUSE once again wasting their potential. It’s not a bad song but I fear we are falling into the same trap as there previous album where the first song was heavy and everything a muse fan wanted and the second single is a cheesy pop rock song that’s just not all that interesting.

James Blake - Trying Times
70

A very solid album which for the most was very enjoyable. The production is so tight and Blake’s vocals shine throughout however, it lacks that consistency to make this a great album.
Best song- Trying Times

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

A lot different to any of his previous albums. It’s an interesting album that has some really cool moments however it just lacks on a real single that one big radio tune. There’s a lot of elements in this album i dig the more disco synth side is a pleasant change but it just feels a little inconsistent and nothing that’s blown me away.
Best songs- Apature, Pop

Turnstile - NEVER ENOUGH
70

Albums shows a lot of promise however the tracks that have so much potential just seem to come to end to soon and fade into the next song.

The xx - xx
60

Cool, different but boring and repetitive at times.

Radiohead - The King of Limbs
60

Highly underrated album yes it’s not as good as most albums by Radiohead but because of there high standards this doesn’t come close however, it’s definitely not bad and includes arguably two of there best songs in lotus flowers and the unbelievable codex.

Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
90

This album feels like a warm hug.

The Streets - Utopia
100

Unreal tune Kevin is the goat
