album feels very nostalgic. there's somewhat charming innocent/naive vibe to the songs that keeps me intrigued regardless of the production quality. songwriting and vocals aren't bad at all, just wish it was more polished
I enjoyed the first 3 tracks but the rest of the album not really... First 3 tracks just feel stronger than anything else in the album and it threw it off for me. The track order and general energy of the album is a bit odd. Jessica Pratt and Bag Raiders being sampled in the same album is really funny to me... I was not expecting that at all, especially not consecutively LOL
i've always been fascinated with the lore and mythology associated with various religions, and this album has a lot of biblical references; however, that is not the only reason I love this album. it's the references combined with the topic of humanity, philosophical views, creative metaphors, personal experiences, and vocals heavy with emotion. none of it suppressed or sugarcoated at all either. the aggression, hatred and anger, depression, misery and all the other nastiness is emphasized by ... read more
