Trying to find stuff from this compilation, i came across the seventh track on youtube titled as "Svig & Smerte acoustic session recorded on portable tape recorder in France aug. 97"; it was passionate, astoundingly beautiful and somehow harrowing to hear. i knew i would fall in love with Fald and that's exactly what ensued.

my gosh, this album felt like a warm blanket! an album where every element is familiar to my ears but just, so infectiously and seamlessly put together that i was left mesmerized the whole way through.
you know... lately i've been LOVING -swarm of bees attacking you- guitars in black metal, something i never had an affinity for before; was looking for stuff of the same ilk and suddenly- "RIGHT! ULVER'S ALBUM WITH THE WOLF!!!!!" something i also never had an affinity for before
