I didn’t think I would find an album that would be as emotionally resonate or impactful as The Glow pt. 2 or Ants From Up There ever again. For the longest time I just thought the highest rated albums had to be the ones that people resonated with the most and because of this, for a while I really only sought out critically acclaimed albums (especially albums with high user ratings). This took a huge toll on my own music taste because “exploring music” became for me just ... read more
Wanted to like this, but Underdressed at the Symphony falls short lyrically, narratively, and vocally. The instrumentals are very nice and fun but almost everything else about this album is dull. Wanna Quit All The Time and the title track are the two expectations which I consider great songs. The rest of the album is really forgettable :(
Fav: Wanna Quit All The Time
Least fav: Feeling Good Today
Not my thing. Not bad and I can see why people love it but I can’t get over those vocals😭 Cool and innovative production tho!!
My boy Travis Ugly Mane Miller has some absolute bops but but some head-scratchers too on this project. The whole thing is really good but held back by its length and somewhat inconsistency.
Vocals are amazing of course, but I really felt like something was missing from this album. The first song is a fantastic intro and then nothing else after that was even remotely as good as it and was just kinda disappointing. Was just wanting to listen to Blue instead throughout the majority of this album. The mixing on this is also just really poor imo. Sue me for this take but I was really disappointed. Not a bad album and it has some good tracks here and there, but pretty inconsistent ... read more
An album that doesn’t get enough attention because it’s Post Malone and people that have “good music taste” know not to like it. While I agree his other stuff for the most part is not very good and he’s only getting worse in quality, I can’t help but love this album. While this is one of the most nostalgic albums of all time for me, it also happens to be really good! With a couple duds here and there, beerbongs & bentley’s manages to hold up really ... read more
I can’t get enough of this. I’ve never heard anything remotely like this and it has been on constant repeat for me for the past few days. A new favorite album for me that deserves all the praise it gets. RIP Groggs.
Helplessness Blues is genuinely one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life. Lyrically, musically, mixing, vocally and narratively just 10/10’s across the board. The rest of the album is really great too!!
This feels wrong to rate. Just absolutely beautiful and devastating and poetic and tragic. All the words.
Literally would’ve been an 8/10 if it weren’t for the last track like why did we even need that bruh
Great production, some of Saba’s best performances and introspective lyrics to date, and some stunning transitions from track to track all make this new long awaited Saba album a more than worth while successor to his previous works!
Favorite track: How to Impress God
Least favorite track: Acts 1.5
Pretty disappointing for the wait, but what’s even more disappointing to me is that there are some REALLY good tracks here, but it’s sooo bloated with some real stinkers especially toward the end.
