Truly a depressing output by Twigs.
I see why this was an after thought, or perhaps an “afterglow”.
From an honest perspective, I don’t see how this entertains anyone but Ambient Pop fans that are okay with two layers on a track and one vocal style the entire time.
Do I live Eusexua? Yes, do I enjoy Afterglow?
Honestly, I can’t.

I'm gonna give y'all some context here....
I loved this band ever since 'Knocknarea' and I can't emphasize enough how critically important this band has become amongst the Punk scene. Every person I show this band to, INSTANTLY falls in love like I did.
I still have yet to see another band push this hard onto new ears, hell, I have yet to see a band in 2025 have this much ambition toward their craft.

This was a far better experience than Alfredo. I cannot lie to myself any longer and always instantly criticize a sequel the moment it comes out.
This truly deserves a higher praise than Alfredo, and if you say otherwise - just go ahead and take your belongings to the 'wrong prison' I have installed in my house walls.

I still wouldn't say this stuff blows me away (or at least contends with abricion or Strawberry Hospital) but still some solid choices and sounds to work off of.
Be aware, this is coming from someone who does dislike Nintendocore - Electronicore; but I recognize how over-hated the sub-genre truly is. With that in mind, I've noticed some genuine promise that can be further evolved or even touched up enough to reach a bigger audience. ... read more
