This feels like a sister album to her previous. Another insane display of Poppy's talent.
I don't care if it's recency bias. After pushing back on listening to this album since its release, seeing Bad Bunny win the Grammy, and witnessing an absolute banger of a halftime show, I finally caved.
I am only mad at myself for not listening sooner. This album is an experience in itself, mixing beautiful messaging with a diverse set of sounds throughout.
It's a fun album but I do hope Sabrina moves onto more themes in her lyrics.
dodie is much more focused on this album, leaning more towards direct storytelling rather than metaphors and comparisons. Lyrically it might be the best she's ever done, and sonically she's experimenting more. I loved this album so much.
Despite it being her first album, dodie seems to rehash themes and ideas from her previous songs. That being said, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The album is still quite enjoyable and she seems to explore more in regards to her sound.

Too bloated of an album. And that's saying something, especially after the years long wait. There are many songs that highlight Cardi's clear talent for rap, but the rest are sad efforts of chasing trends or forcing collabs.
This comes close to Trench level quality for me. Super catchy riffs and awesome vocal work on many songs.
The melodies and instrumentals are good, but some of these lyrics are insanely basic and borderline cringe.
You can tell after the first album, they wanted to mature on their sound and explore more kinds of metal. This album far surpasses the debut.
No skips on this album. Spiritbox has beautiful and haunting melodies with an amazing vocal performance throughout.
Where Laufey improves lyrically, she scales back on musical arrangement. Aside from Sabotage, any song that wasn't released as a single follows a similar format as her previous albums
