The Observer
These seven songs are all inoffensive playlist folk-pop, foregrounding personality over polish, but any sense of intrigue is confined to the lyrics.

This EP comes in strong during the last 3 songs on it. If I'm Being Honest is definitely a great song.

Doesn't appeal to me at all, but it's better than The Chainsmokers

If I’m Being Honest (buh-dum tss) with myself, I love dodie’s videos! I would always watch a video or listen to a song she wrote when I’m feeling down. That’s why “Human” made me smile. Her voice is angelic and her lyrics always resonate with me. It’s nothing special but it works well enough and I would be happy to listen to it again.

A tiny project, but you get a good sense of dodie as an artist. There are some clever lyrics; I like the 'Monster' and 'Human' songs quite a bit, they compliment one another well. It is light and pleasant; she clearly understands how to develop an emotional response. I have listened to this more than I expected, I would love to see what she did with a full album.
