Part 4 of listening to every Silverstein album in order of Shane’s least favourite to favourite.
This album seems like the guys just having fun and releasing a bunch of unfinished stuff. Is it filler? Yes. Do I care? Not really, but I do wish some of these songs got finished cause some of these are really good and deserve to have a full finished version. My miserable life is the biggest example of this. I really like the heavier angle this project takes, I think they work really well in ... read more
Part 3 of listening to every Silverstein album in order of Shane’s last favourite to number one
How this one’s in his bottom three is such a mystery to me. This is a classic. Might be a hot take but I think I prefer Rescue over this one but this albums still great. Has two of their best songs, Smashed into pieces and Bleed no more. Shane’s vocals can be a bit meh at times but it’s forgiven with the band being great.

This is great when walking around a place with a bunch of fallen orange leaves on the ground
Die Spitz second album is easily their best yet and is a pretty big step up from their debut. Die spitz has been one of my favourite up and coming bands to watch, seeing them get booked in big festivals has been so cool to see, I’m so proud of them. Im glad other people seem to be loving them too and are finally catching on to them.
Top 3 songs: RIDING WITH MY GIRLS, Punishers, Go get dressed
Least favourite: American porn
This album really feels the end of twenty one pilots. I know it’s just the end of the trench storyline but it really feels the end of the band in general. What mainly makes me think this is the amount of Vessel attention this album got. City walls mentioning the violent island, the entertain my faith line from Holding on to you coming back, Intentions being Truce in reverse, the album cover being kind of similar, and one of the songs being a demo from that era. Similar to Clancy, I feel ... read more
I’m surprised these guys were popular in the emo crowd. I could be totally wrong but part of bvb just seems like dad music to me. That might just be Andy’s voice though. Black veil brides is one of those bands I like but totally get why people don’t. Andy has a weird voice and this specific weird type of rock/metal isn’t usually my thing but it just works for me here. Fallen angels is easily the best song in here though, it’s no competition in my opinion

Would it be crazy to say this might be their best song?
This is legitimately perfect. Entertain my faith from Holding on to you coming back? The intro to heavydirtysoul showing up at the end? That chorus? The verses? Literally everything about this song is perfection.
If I heard this beat and had to think of any rapper that would be able to make it work it would be Danny brown. Only that man could come up with something this crazy for a beat like this. It’s part of what makes Danny one of my favourite artists, I can’t imagine anyone else on this beat and it being anywhere near as good
There was a point where I considered this the most overrated album of all time. Although i do still think it’s a little overrated I definitely enjoy it much more now. Y'all are some haters man💔 A lot of the songs that aren’t hits on this thing are pretty forgettable but that’s fine I suppose.
Top 3 songs: Adam’s song, What’s my age again?, Anthem
Least favourite: Party song
In June I said I was gonna listen to all of Silversteins albums in order of Shane’s least favourite to favourite, I listened to S&D and this for that, then completely forgot. I only listened to this once at the time too so I didn’t even have much of an opinion on it. After giving it another listen i gotta say, idk why this is his second least favourite album of theirs, this is fantastic. Very good all the way through, it even has a nice little appearance from Anthony from ... read more
I went into this not expecting to like it as much as I did, but honestly I think this is better than Short n sweet. I don’t love everything here but I do love most of it to be honest. Lyrically it’s nothing special but if you listened to Short n sweet and still went into this expecting it to be anything crazy lyrically then idk what to tell you. I wasn’t even crazy about Manchild when it came out but it really grew on me here. Also Tears might be her best song, at least that ... read more
Third 100/100 of the year 🗣️ I’m seeing them live tomorrow, I’m so excited. There was a point where I thought deftones were so overrated and thought all their songs sounded the same, but earlier this year I started to have this new found appreciation for them and what they do. They have such an interesting and unique sound to them that many have tried to replicate but have rarely ever been able to top in my opinion. One thing I loved about this album and the band in general is ... read more
I went into this not knowing what I was about to hear. I had it in my liked for a while, I lwk assumed it was some kind of alt metalcore thing, but no. It’s a really cool violin pop (?) album that sounds like something I’ve never even heard before. I’m seeing her live with Halestorm in October and honestly I’m really excited now, this sounds like it would be amazing to hear live. I’ll be honest, idk if this is something I’ll return to often but I’m glad ... read more
I’m surprised aoty hasn’t really caught on to Die spitz yet, this band feels like something this site would be all over idk
Earls one of those artists I feel like I’m always sleeping on. I’ve loved every album of his that I’ve heard but I just don’t listen to him much. This album makes me wanna change that though because this is amazing the whole way through. The production on this is fantastic, Earl does great lyrically as always, and he has such an interesting flow on most of these songs. The hook on tourmaline wasn’t great in my opinion but that’s fine because the rest of the ... read more
One of those albums you either love or you hate
I remember first trying to listen to this and I couldn’t even make it past the third song, I thought it was awful. One day it finally clicked but I still didn’t love it. Tonight was my first time listening to it since 2023 and I still pretty much feel the same. I like it and respect it but I still don’t love it.
This album has some great weird moments but some of it just doesn’t click for me still and I don’t love it ... read more
Am I crazy or do some of these songs feel fake? Songs like Darkness always wins or the title track Everest feel so manufactured and fake. I’m supposed to see these guys in October. It’ll be my second time seeing them live, coincidentally both in October and at the same venue, except this time they’re the main band playing. I’ll be honest, I’m still excited but this album did kind of kill my hype for it just a bit. It’s not even that bad, it’s just so ... read more
I’ve been pretty inactive recently so my apologies about that. I got a girlfriend now😼 Anyways new jvb album, it’s incredible. Lyrically it’s nothing incredible, but if you know jvb you knew going in they wouldn’t be anything crazy. That being said, this album has great lyrical moments too like in LIVE RIGHT, SEE U DANCE, DISCO TOMORROW and some others. This albums biggest highlight for me though is the production. Joey has always killed it production wise but ... read more
Man KxAxWxAxIxI was awful😭
Okay so this is a positive rating but you’re about to hear a lot of complaining so apologies in advance.
I was really looking forward to this album when it was announced. It did have a song from 2023 on it but I was able to look past that because the rest of the tracklist looked great (besides from one fuckass feature which we’ll get to later). We had a Poppy feature, Spiritbox feature, Bloodywood feature, Ratatata made the album, it looked great, and ... read more
