His most daring and well-executed change of pace of his usual stuff...for the most part.
"While (1<2)" is Deadmau5's most divisive record because he strayed away from the more clubby, hard and electrifying tracks and instead opted for more calmer and ambient sound palette across the record. There can be found that iconic electrifying house tracks in here but for the most part, its calmer and more mellow. This record also has a handful of soft electric piano sections and downtempo tracks. Technically, this is his best work for being the most experimental with his own sound and more interesting, making tracks to more so give a feeling other than to dance or bop your head too. It seemed to be the goal because I think it payed off very well. There are some duds in here that can drag or feel very mediocre compared to the other highlights in the record. Overall, it's a great record by him and I will stand to that.
