Jack White - No Name
92

Imagine if Jack decided to not even release this project on streaming services, we would have literally misses an insanely great and fun blues experience! As a big fan of "Boarding House Reach", the album made me realize that Jack was doing other stuff not related to The White Stripes, one of my favourite bands of all time, I of course am a fan of the hard rock and blues inspired tracks in here! I would have loved if some tracks went harder, similarly some parts of "Fear of the ... read more

Lupe Fiasco - Samurai
88

If “DRILL MUSIC IN ZION” was a really pleasant surprise when it dropped, “Samurai” at this point just certifies the fantastic moment that the iconic rapper Lupe Fiasco is having right now! For starters, just look at the concept that he’s put together: the legendary Amy Winehouse has decided to become a rapper and shows her abilities through many battle rap tracks! How can you even come up with something like that!? Not only that, but these cuts actually are both ... read more

Falling In Reverse - Popular Monster
0

This is unironically one of the worst things I’ve ever heard. I started listening to this as a joke but once it reaches a certain point it just becomes so repetitive and annoying. It’s also annoying that publications take this shit seriously.

Also, a little comment on Brad deleting his AOTY account. Every community has its toxic side and I’ve seen some really bad stuff here in my many years of being an active user on this site. However, saying that people were wrong for ... read more

Alcest - Les Chants de l'Aurore
86

Didn’t know they were still around but damn “Les Chants de l’Aurore” is actually fantastic! Passionate and heavy moments throughout the entirety of the project are altered with some softer stuff that makes the pacing of the album dynamic! From the opener to my favorite track, “Améthyste”, from the interesting single “Flamme Jumelle” to the slower “Réminiscence”, this album is full of memorable moments! Great stuff!

Geolier - DIO LO SA
38

As I've said yesterday, next on my list is the new project from the new superstar of neapolitan rap Geolier titled "DIO LO SA"! It's funny that the title is "God Knows" and as Cynicalip as pointed out it's basically the sequel to DJ Khaled's "God Did". Either way, this album comes after the incredibly successful sophomore project "IL CORAGGIO DEI BAMBINI", an album that in my opinion had a lot of good moments but also a lot of moments ... read more

Baby Gang - L'Angelo del Male
31

Next on my list is another long rap album by an artist that I've already talked about a lot of times before! It's, of course, the new project from Baby Gang titled "L'ANGELO DEL MALE"! I first listened to Baby Gang when he released "EP2", which I wasn't really a fan of, but I found more potential in the following album "INNOCENTE"! However, when I first saw the announcement of the very large feature list that this album was going to have, I ... read more

Capo Plaza - Ferite
44

Next on my list is a really long album and one of the most awaited releases of the year! Of course, I'm talking about Capo Plaza's third album titled "Ferite"! Capo Plaza is a rapper that I've already talked about in the past, but it really seems like he has established himself as one of the most important artists in italian trap! Even though I've never really enjoyed a lot of his music, I did find some parts of his previous project, the "Hustle Mixtape", ... read more

Tedua - La Divina Commedia (Deluxe)
25

Since today I'm feeling a little bit tired and since on my albums to listen to list I have a lot of long projects, today I'll talk about a deluxe edition to a project from last year! This is the "Paradiso" deluxe to the album "La Divina Commedia" by Tedua! As commercially successful as this album was, the original album wasn't really appreciated that much by fans, especially because it should have been Tedua's magnum opus and it was supposed to released ... read more

Papa V - Trap Fatta Bene
50

Since in Italy artists basically stop putting out music in August, I have more time to check out some other albums! And today I'll review the latest project from rapper Papa V titled "Trap Fatta Bene"! This guy is another of those rapper considered to be one of the best of the new generation, which includes others like Tony Boy, Kid Yugi, Nerissima Serpe, Artie 5ive and many others who have been put in this category! Realistically, I don't know a lot about him except that ... read more

Ele A - Acqua
86

Speaking of short but new projects, next on my list is the latest EP from another promising young rapper, Ele A, titled "Acqua"! This rapper has been around only for a few years, but has really caught my attention when she released in 2023 her first project titled "Globo", one of my absolute favourite projects of the year! Ele A in terms of music has only made a few things: she has been in a cypher sponsored by Red Bull (actually Diss Gacha was also there) and the only ... read more

Diss Gacha - Cultura Italiana Pt.1
75

Another review! This time, it's the debut LP from emerging and promising rapper Diss Gacha titled "Cultura Italiana Pt.1"! After a pretty successful 2023 with the EP "Cultura", this rapper has been under the spotlight because of the actual quality of his music and because he's actually an interesting rapper! The project also isn't that long, so I'll probably make another review today. Plus, this is his actual debut album, so people are going to be ... read more

yungest Moonstar - sFaCioLaTe miXTaPe
62

New review! Today, I'm excited to talk about a really recent album! It's the most recent mixtape from the yungest Moonstar "sFaCioLaTe miXTaPe"! For those who don't know, yungest Moonstar is the alter ego of rapper and producer thasup, an artist whose previous project I really enjoyed! This guy has been in the middle of a lot of stuff these last few years really: from many hospitalizations because of anxiety and depression to a failed relationship which brought us a ... read more

¥$ - VULTURES 2
13

Ah shit, here we go again...

Well, after basically 6 months the man formerly known as Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have dropped their long-awaited follow-up to one of the most talked about albums of the year, "VULTURES 2". Can you believe that this thing was supposed to be dropping in March? Actually, yeah, it's totally believable... Either way, it's actually out and honestly I was completely shocked by one thing that I wanted to talk about later but it really gave me ... read more

Maria Chiara Argirò - Closer
80

3 in a row baby! Another album review! Today it's the review of the latest project from experimental artist Maria Chiara Argirò titled "Closer"! Maria Chiara is roman but is based in London and has had until now a pretty good career! Starting out by working with These New Puritans, she made her debut in 2016 with "The Fall Dance"! Album after album, more and more people start noticing her work, both on AOTY and in real life: Mojo reviewed the 2019 release ... read more

ANNA - VERA BADDIE
28

Speaking of debut albums, next on my list is the first LP from rapper ANNA titled "VERA BADDIE"! I've already talked about her music in the past, as I thought that her EP "LISTA 47" was ok at best. But right now, she is the biggest female rapper that italian music as ever seen actually! And, in my opinion, that's weirdly because her music sounds close to her male colleagues. The female rap game unfortunately doesn't have many representatives, as only a few of ... read more

Angelina Mango - poké melodrama
64

Finally, it took me a long time but let's talk about an italian album! And of course, it's one of the most reviewed of the year, the deubt LP from rising superstar Angelina Mango, "poké melodrama"! I've already talked about her music in the past by reviewing her EP "Voglia Di Vivere", but that was a time when she was just a promising artist with some decent hits. Now, after climbing the charts with many songs, winning the Sanremo festival and ... read more

twenty one pilots - Clancy
77

The journey of the hero is difficult to interpret but one thing is certain: almost every single work of media works in this way. There's a protagonist, something that shakes things up and a journey where the hero in question tries to put things back together, discover his inner self and then come back home, celebrated by the people as a savior of some sorts. The story that twenty one pilots have put together throughout their albums, from "Blurryface" to "Clancy" is a ... read more

Charli xcx - BRAT
100

I've been trying to write a review of "BRAT" by Charli XCX but I really cannot describe what I've listened to here! It feels like a fusion of all the experimentation done in the hyperpop field and all of the dance pop craze that started in the late 2000s! All done not only in an extremely catchy way, but also well produced, well sung, well written and extremely raw! This feels authentic probably because it is authentic to Charli: this is what the artist really wanted to make ... read more

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
80

Finally got around and listened to the new Billie Eilish project, "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT", an album that I was actually pretty excited to hear! And, believe it or not, I really enjoyed the third album by one of the biggest stars in the world of pop music! "LUNCH" was really the perfect choice for the single, as it is in fact the catchiest track out of the whole bunch! But the majority of this album is really spent on incredibly written tracks with tons and tons of spirit, ... read more

"“Blue Tape” lo devo recuperare quindi magari c’è qualcosa che mi fa cambiare; forse “Trenches Baby” lo dovrei riascoltare, ma quando l’avevo ascoltato tempo fa non mi era piaciuto troppo: c’era qualche momento particolare o interessante ma veramente troppo poco. Poi magari lo riascolterò e lo troverò più interessante, sono sempre aperto a questo!"
On Capo Plaza - 4U EP
"In my opinion, given that I've already listened to "Ferite" which was already his "most personal" project, it pales in comparison to that one and also from what I've heard I do think that it isn't that much stripped back. I can give projects second chances though, so while now I may think that it is unsalvageable but maybe in the future I could save something from this. I would love to see an actually genuine and personal project from anyone really, but I don't think that this is how you do it. However, if you have a different opinion about the project, I'd love to hear more about it!"

"@Ricter22 Ciao Ric!
