Holy hell this was gorgeous. Such a beautiful soundscape across the record, the longer tracks really take you on a journey. The lyrics are great and the subject matter is relevant, and I adore Rhodri Davies' voice.
The one time Cage got kinda freaky and weird with it before settling into the more predictable indie sound that would define them afterward. I’m glad so many people like Melopbobia but man, songs like Sell Yourself and Sabertooth Tiger embody the sound I loved the most from them.
I really didn't get this album at first, and I usually like weird noisy stuff. But I kept listening to it, convinced I was missing something and it finally clicked for me and now I'm convinced it's a work of genius.
