One of the best albums of 2023 so far. 'This Is Why' captures the sense of urgency of social media while pushing for political transformations to save Earth. Despite these themes, it still evokes the need for self-awareness and self-empowerment.
It's an album that tells you how important is therapy, after all.

It's great that Demi tried to improve her generic pop songs, and she deserves credit for doing so. However, her selection of tracks still majorly sounds flat, it's not as if she released songs that match the new sound she's delivering, as in "Holy Fuck".
High points: "Sorry Not Sorry" and "Cool For The Summer."
Low points: "Neon Lights" and "Give Your Heart A Heartbreak".

It's a solid comeback with very precise lyrics, but I missed a better development of her voice, maybe trying to fill more of the pop rock field in this aspect. Her lack of vocal range makes GUTS lose its potential.
