This album invokes feelings of nostalgia and reminiscence that music FROM MY CHILDHOOD has yet to capture. This album makes me think of riding bikes with my friends. I listened through this a second time while going through a rough patch with my mom and I broke into tears. The song Youthful Days is perfect.
This project was a super surprise to me. I had only listened to MPH from her. I wasn't expecting the album to be as introspective as it was. It was super lush and calm. The songs were waayyy too short and the tracklist could've been like 14.
Boom Bap wasted such a great beat 😭
Prob the worst Magbay project. None of these songs are anything really special like the other mini-mixes
JUST THE DELUXE
Holy shit Ok Alright is one of Travis Scott's best songs ever and Never Catch Me serves as a great closing track. SZA is so good omg.
That's a lot of people holy crap
NEW SONGS ONLY
My Everything (10th Anniversary) and Days Before Rodeo (10th Anniveraary) same day is insane
the two new songs are bangers this is why I love Ariana Grande
Chance goes absolutely bonkers, the production isn't really that interesting, but both rappers here go insane. Actually nutty.
the songs not good in like anyway except for somewhat pleasing notes at certain points
The beat is so sick and Chance delivers some actually nutty flows bro this album's gonna be so peak
Man this was sick. I really liked Victory Lap so I was pleasantly surprised to hear (what I think) is a better project. The production is so unique and everyone involved killed it! I loved Thug on this project
Never like this has an album made me feel so much with so little words. The production feels like if someone implanted their thoughts and their brain straight onto a file in FL. Everything happening is just so mind-boggling I can't help but be WOW'd. It feels like it's just one step below perfect.
EDIT: It's flawless. Everything feels so rich and full of texture. Cosmogramma feels like flying through space or sitting in a garden or blowing up your computer with a virus. The ... read more
No album has ever left me feeling so confused, dreadful, haunted, and defeated like this. Every part of this album feels like a man limping with a chunk out of his leg. Holy shit.
When I first heard this album I already thought it was a 10/10 but I did not know the backstory of Injury Reserve or Grogg's death. With that information I relistened to it and it makes the entire album all that more powerful. Songs like Top Picks For You or Knees are so incredibly soul-crushing in a way no ... read more
It's so incredible. It's every bit as unsettling and rattled feeling as the rest of BTTIGTP.
Damn this song sucks it's multiple burly "HEAAAHH" artists creating shitty bro-country on the same song. BOOO 👎👎👎
I really enjoy the majority of Vince Staples' discography, however I only really pulled away 3 songs from this project. Smile sounds like a stomp-clap ford truck month song followed by 2 minutes of mumbling. Actually that's a large portion of the songs that have a large chunk used up for shitty acapellas. The songs themselves would've been much better without them even if it plays into a theme; it just isn't executed well.
