I understand the context is heartbreaking and the lyrics are full of grief and sorrow but that is not enough to make an album "good". Musically there is nothing going on here. All he does is read some poetry he wrote, accompanied by extremely minimalistic, repetitive guitar arrangements. Sometimes less is more, of course, but not in this case. I love and listen to all kinds of genres but my focus is mainly experimental music, post-punk and art pop; and the kind of noisy music that scratches my brain in all the right places and blocks it from any thought that could arise.
