Mitski's lyrics will never disappoint me and I also loved some of the very lush instrumentations. Those were really beautiful. The melodies tho, didn't always impress me like Mitski's albums usually do (yes even Laurel Hell!) Not the best Hildegard von Bingen album, but it's Hildegard so of course it's gonna be great!
The instrumentations on Mariah's early albums are really underrated. She has an amazing voice and uses it very well, but that alone doesn't make a great album. But these instrumentals surely create a space for her voice and writing to shine!

One of the most beautiful albums of all time. Barbara is one of the greatest writers in the history of music. People who don't understand French won't get that but she really is. It's the beauty of this album goes far beyond the lyrics because you don't even need to understand the them to hear how absolutely stunning Barbara's work is.
