Drake - MAID OF HONOUR

I had to go listen to Imaginal Disk 20 times after hearing this.

Drake - ICEMAN

This album is basically him saying “I’m fine alone”

While this album for sure overshadows a couple of his other releases in the 2020’s decade, i still feel like he could’ve done alot better. It’s been 2 years since his beef with Kendrick Lamar, and he still talks about it. A bit pathetic? Yes, very, but i sort of understand why he’s still talking about it; It’s because it’s the only thing that makes him cool. He grew up in a rich ... read more

am i in heaven or listening to this?

Radiohead - OK Computer
98

wow. where do i even start? this was the third album the world known band “radiohead” released, and i think i finally understand why this is such a loved album. just the instrumentals alone could make a generation album. seriously. this was such an amazing listen, and probably the first album i ever seriously cried to. the concept, the singing, the songwriting, the instrumental work, the mixing. gosh its so freaking good. every song felt like its own universe, being super unique ... read more

Maruja - Pain to Power
89

casper was my favorite track from vanisher horizon scraper, and literally every song on this album was like a mini-casper.

after a few listens, there no denying that this album is amazing, both mixing genres like art rock, jazz, metal and even hip hop in some cases. theres just so many things about this album that makes it unlike literally any other album ive ever heard. the album had both aggressive and hard hitting songs, but also emotional, heartfelt masterpieces. every single song blended ... read more

Poppy - Empty Hands

this album is the definition of fine. not bad, but not amazing either. the songs on their own were actually pretty good, but as an album it got so boring quickly. the worst songs were just really basic screamo rock song, and even at its best it was still regular rock music. the instrumentals were really good for the most of the time, but her singing sounded really cringeworthy at a few parts. overall the album would land at an 70ish rating, but it got really repetitive as an album which is why ... read more

IDK - e.t.d.s. A Mixtape by .idk.
86

the first full listen ive had for an idk project, and i gotta say - this seriously impressed me.
it felt very similar to cheat codes in a way, just a bit less finished and professional sounding. the feature list was very very impressing, considering how new idk is compared to the people featured (i know he has been in the industry since 2015). black thought, mf doom, pusha t, dmx, rza, and more on a mixtape from 2025 is no small feat. his rapping was amazing too. his flow and delivery was ... read more

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE

despite not being too familiar with all of these songs, they all sounded so nostalgic to me in such a weird yet amazing way. this lp released in july 2012 (thats almost 14 years ago), yet it still sounds so modern and ahead of its time. this was actually my first full album experience from frank ocean, and it totally lived up to the expectations set by the reviews i had seen on youtube. not a single skip while listening to the full album, not even the interludes surprisingly. the only negative ... read more

Geese - Getting Killed
94

one of the coolest albums ive ever heard
getting killed by geese is an album both fusing elements of post-punk, art rock and alternative indie which are all three some of my favorite genres, and they did it surprisingly well.
cameron winter (the lead singer) dives both into heartbreaking themes of anxiety, change, and destiny with his almost isaac wood like lyrics absolutely heart wrenching and desperate vocals.
the second half of this album were all 10/10 songs, but unfortunately i thought ... read more

Radiohead - In Rainbows Disk 2
97

in rainbows was an all time great album, so of course the b sides are going to be amazing aswell.

despite this not being just as incredible as in rainbows, this was still an absolutely amazing listen from front to back. from the super unique synthesizers to the grungey, distorted guitars, it was super interesting and had me captivated the whole time. similar to in rainbows, the overall mood was pretty bipolar. there were both super sad and emotional songs, but also super intense and fast ... read more

Taylor Swift - folklore

my mom has been a swiftie for a good while now, and folklore is her favorite album of all time.
i was sorta running out of albums to listen to, so i figured - why not just check out this album. i had heard positive feedback about this album, so i had strong expectations going in.

i didnt want to like this as much as i did, but i did.
this album was sad yet beautiful aswell, combining indie, folk, and the soft elements of ballads. despite always sort of disliking taylor swifts music, this album ... read more

Westside Cowboy - So Much Country 'Till We Get There
81

after seeing westside cowboy open up for black country new road, i honestly wasnt very impressed, but i think after hearing this ep ive changed my mind. in short - this felt like a happy version of ants from up there, in a good way. you can totally see the bcnr influence everywhere on this lp. songs like dont throw rocks and cant see almost blew me away while listening to them. the super intruiging electric guitar riffs here and there on this lp were also super cool. despite only being 14 ... read more

Faye Webster - Car Therapy Sessions
91

i had no idea what to expect from this ep, but god damn i loved it. from the calming, cinematic ochestration to her soft, abstract and honest vocals, it was amazing. this album felt like an indie fantasy movie from the early 2000’s, in the best way possible. the lyrics were super unique, and unlike any ive heard before from an artist. ive never been super intrigued with orchestral music, but this was an amazing ep and listen overall.

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
82

who wouldve expected a$ap rocky to be saving trap out of everyone?
after not releasing anything major for eight whole years, asap rocky has returned with “dont be dumb”. this album overall met my expectations. it wasnt something insanely innovative but it was for sure above average. it was super experimental, both having trap, post-punk, grunge and literally straight up jazz. it was overall a pretty consistent album, most of the songs ranging from 7-9, but there were a few songs ... read more

obviously i understand why some of these are throwaways, but oh my god behold is so fire. i so wish that song was on the oficial album. put that to the side though, the other songs are pretty good. not amazing, not terrible. jid obviously does his thing, he never misses, but the features were kinda unnecessary. without the features the preluxe would be at least an 8/10. the production was pretty good, and it was really interesting hearing jid on a high bpm breakbeat. other than that, this ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - Music Inspired by Illumination & Dr. Seuss' The Grinch

this ep was.. ehh…. i honestly dont know why i didnt listen to this earlier considering how much of a tyler the creator stan i am, but this album did not hold up to the quality and creativity of his other albums. i never really liked christmas music (besides a few songs), and this was no exception. it wasnt really put together very well, and it overall just sounded unfinished and awkward. there were some good instrumental pieces here and there proving tylers versatility, but this ep ... read more

Magdalena Bay - night/pop
78

the sister ep of day/pop did unfortunately fall a bit short from it, but it was still very cool overall. it was super 80s sounding, with regular pop music mixed in with elements of vaporwave, soul, and synthpop. again its only 4 songs 14 minutes so its impossible to say too much about this ep, but it was pretty cool overall.

Magdalena Bay - day/pop

its pretty cool. especially for a first ep/lp. its super short (4 songs, 14 minutes) so i cant say much about it, but it was a pretty dang good ep overall. it was just pure, fun, enjoyable indie synthpop. it went 4 for 4, but i would probably not return to head over heels because its a cover, and the original is objectively better. i honestly just wish it was longer to be honest. oh and it was also really cool hearing matt sing
