To be frank, as soon as BOW came on I was pumped for the EP to begin. But the EP didn't live up entirely to the hype that the intro established. NOBODY FALLS and SOPRANO were the highest points of the album, but A WILDFIRE and FALL BACK weren't as strong.
A soulful, funky album. I decided to check out Leven Kali based off my Last.fm recommendations, and man was I impressed! Kali is clearly influenced by Anderson .Paak, but clearly establishes his own genre and sound. My favorites were Cassandra (and I did enjoy the ardnassaC interlude that followed), My Offer (contains great instrumentals, smooth vocals, and a lovely saxophone solo), and 1on1. Mad at U was a weaker point for me––maybe a bit too trappy for my tastes.
Really solid EP. Love Affair is the catchiest song on the EP, but I'm also a huge fan of Sukidakara and Breathe. Runnin' ft. Yeek is the only song that brings it down slightly for me, although it is also catchy.
