Nice reminder that this is not an album! It’s a compilation of his firsts albums under the name of The Weeknd, those being:
- House of Balloons
- Thursday
- Echoes of Silence
However… these three albums are fucking fire, so the compilation obviously had to be amazing too. On a more random note, I adore the cover art, but now for the deep opinion, I believe this is one of his best albums, probably taking second place in my head.
Each of these mixtapes bring something quite ... read more
Honestly his best album (sorry Graduation worshippers), but the production on this one is crazily good. Of course, it’s got its skips as any other album, but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable.
Her versatility is fucking amazing, I love the way in which this album connected more to her latin roots, and her voice?? Damn.
C’mon. It’s Depeche Mode, of course it’s gonna be fire.
Hit after hit, I absolutely adore the dark vibe of the album and enjoy it.
Some misses, some art pieces too.
I do enjoy Bon Jovi, however the songs can get a lil too repetitive or can be kinda rough. Maybe some albums named the same as the artist are amazing, but I’d say this one is one of their best.
Of course it’s nothing but the best, an amazing name that adheres perfectly to the album.
I don’t even know where to begin, Sinatra is one of the greatest singers of all time thanks to his amazing voice, lyric work and even more his music as a whole. This album is just a classic that can be played from a cafeteria to a concert and everyone will know at least one song and sing it with the euphoria it brings with it. The entire album is a fucking masterpiece and honestly, my favorite ... read more
When I first discovered the album I honestly laughed at the artist’s name and also the song titles, but holy shit are they jaw-dropping!? I was expecting something like a stereotypical mexican album, and maybe the string work (which is amazing btw) can be seen as similar, but it’s slightly mixed from a mariachi tone with rock and as a Mexican rock enjoyer, it’s quite nice. Also, lyrically it tells some amazing stories, so I do recommend Mexican Spaghetti Western.
Shit so good I had to replay and replay.
I’m not tryna say this was one of his best projects, but it deffo was. You can tell how much effort went into this and the amount of recognition it got was deserved, if not needed more, but I’ll still be hearing some of the songs in this album often when I go out. Rauw knows what he’s doing, and the beats were often what caught me. Definitely recommend if you want something lively and fun, ‘cause there’s no skips on this ... read more
FUCK YEAH!!!!!
This album is such a vibrant, genre-defying artwork that showcases his ability to blend traditional reggaeton with contemporary urban sounds. This one album is marked by its eclectic mix of styles and innovative approach on that year, however slightly sad that it came out when quarantine was right around the corner, it would’ve been such a bigger and appreciated hit.
Ehh.
Listenable, slightly. I wouldn’t say it’s the worst Bad album, but it’s not really enjoyable. I get he tried reconnecting with his old Trap ways and style, but it doesn’t hit the same anymore. I was surely expecting more after “Un Verano Sin Ti” and before it dropped, we got to see some of the features upcoming and I surely got my hopes up, which was my mistake. If you wanna explore Bad more, I wouldn’t really suggest this album.
One of my favorite albums from them!! Definitely recommend starting listening to them by this one.
I’m aware that Cerati has gotten some fucking masterpieces, but this one crossed the line. I’m amazed at the way in which there can be such amazing albums out there in the wild, and let me say this one deserves way more recognition.
Undoubtedly of the best albums of all 2022.
I know Bad Bunny can be widely hated and can be criticized due to his vague lyrics and sometimes annoying voice, however Un Verano Sin Ti is such an eclectic and vibrant album that showcases his versatility and deep connection to his Puerto Rican roots. I adore when albums blend genres, and this was not the exception, since it definitely allowed Bad to explore more and blend genres in this one, mainly having reggaeton, bomba, dembow, and bachata, ... read more
Song after song is just a masterpiece, overall it’s very enjoyable to listen to and an amazing recommendation. Some songs might seem dull (according to other reviews) but you’ve just gotta let them grow on you. The lyrics in each song are so unique and even more Alex’s voice, an amazing compound of songs. (One for the Road is quite amazing, definitely deserves a higher rating)
His social consciousness is crazy, even more his voice and lyrics, God bless this man and the works of art he creates, one of my favorites ever.
I love Kendrick, but this album surely has got some misses, it’s lovely on the other hand.
YUP!! Such a mental escape album, I would definitely enjoy getting lost in a small foggy town and hear it over and over again.
