Extremely fun and energetic the whole way through, nia archive’s debut album left me wanting for more, but at the same time i didn’t really find this album all that memorable, there were 1-2 standouts in the entire thing but i don’t think ill be thinking about this too often
Three way domain clash with ronnie radke trippie red and mgk would absolutely go crazy
3 tracks in what the fuck logic i didn’t know your game
EDIT:
Initial thoughts: throughought multiple ardous years in the making, ever since being teased in 2017, all the wait has culminated in the absolute peak of both logics rapping ability and his production value. logic absolutely blew me away with his buttery smooth flow and penmanship, and the sheer amount of care and effort put into every single instumental in the entire thing. I just cant help myself but find all the skits and ... read more
This might unironically the best y2k boy band song of all time
Thanks deadpool and wolverine!!!
possibly might be my favorite album of all time, it sounds like if a cat clawed at a floppy disk covered in coolant and put it into a cd player, and i fw that heavy
this is LOUD loud, abrasive and entricing, with the opening track gripping you in with the sweet piano, before dropping you into a cacophany of scratchy drums. This album feels and sounds like a more aggressive, but also a more uplifting and hopeful tstnpotd.
Thank you kanye and ty dolla sign.
Haven’t listened to all of it but if the song “exmilitary” doesn’t have a dg feature i might blow my head off 🤔
Edit: No dg feature but i’m still happy.
This album took all the elements from the harsh abrasive nature of scaring the hoes and LP! And really took it up a next level, ive found myself enjoying literally every single song in this album and didn’t notice any particular drops, the quality of the instrumentals are mind boggling, the rock/metal ... read more
This album is the absolute best swansong injury reserve could’ve released , heavy hitting and absolutely tragic all the way through, such a passionate and gut wrenching send off to one of the core members of the trio, saying their last goodbyes to not only to a life long friend, but to the movement itself, from high octane and high energy tracks like SS san francisco and superman that, to melancholic and somber tracks like knees and the closure of the album, bye storm. (Best song in the ... read more
Seems a little too low right….?
I don’t know, this entire album is really fun on all fronts but for some reason, i just don’t find myself enjoying this entire album all the way through compared to his previous stuff like ahmac and veteran, maybe its because this was a little to abrasive for my taste? (Which is pretty weird since i like alot of other industrial/experimental hiphop…)
The heaviest dg has ever been and its extremely orgasmic.
Banger after banger and it consistently sustains that high level energy throughout the entire album without any noticeable droops in quality at all.
The guitar in this is particularly fucking awesome, especially on ring a bell and spikes
My #1 favorite dg album over exmilitary and money store
Gen Z’s trying to what?
This album’s concept was just eminem ragebaiting and its kinda funny at times, but it gets REALLY corny.
As someone on twitter already said, i wished this album started off with slim shady’s death and the rest of the album was eminem trying to carry on being a person and his career without the facade of the persona he created, instead it was just “ Haha guys i’m edgy again like i was 20 years ago!!! “
The jid song is a banger ... read more
Having not heard alot of james blake’s works and only hearing a handful of songs, i was pretty curious to see how both of them would work in tandem with eachother especially after yatchy’s newest self discovery of his new sound, and ngl i’m pretty surprised in how things turned out, my only gripe being the songs start becoming a little too samey as it goes on.
