Absolutely have never heard of this guy before (probably given the fact that he only has 77 monthly listeners) but this was honestly a very pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect but I certainly didn't expect such high quality stuff, especially in terms of the pure instrumentation of this project. The final song, God's Demo, took me by surprise the most as it was such a well rounded song that I honestly feel bad that he doesn't have much monthly listeners to listen ... read more
Now I've never listened to a Miley Cyrus album before and have only ever listened to her super popular and culturally iconic songs. This project I only listened to because of the tag labeling it as art pop and I was just genuinely curious since I've never known her to make that kind of music and that was probably one of my best music listening decisions of 2025. This entire album just has a magical and nostalgic feeling to it, like Cyrus has experience in this kind of depth when as ... read more
My mind is just absolutely blown by this project. I think McKinley is an incredibly talented and visionary artist and this project only further proves that as he's truly outdone himself. He's managed to quite literally create a modern day fable through a situation that is sadly not uncommon. Kids dying and having to deal with the trauma of friends caught in a generational cycle of violence that no one is able to stop. Aside from clearly referencing the undeniable innocence and ... read more
Has it highs and lows, but I definitely think it had more lows than highs. I can appreciate this for what it is but the entire thing just wasn't my cup of tea. The emo rap aspect of this project just wasn't my vibe (mostly since I just don't like emo rap) but I do think Quadeca made it more bearable compared to other artists. I enjoyed it overall though.
I'm convinced this is boutta be album of the year πππ½
I hope bro releases all the songs separately at some point. It definitely all works together as one song, cleanly weaving the narrative of each song together. But it'd be more convenient to be able to listen to each song individually. I completely get the creative vision here though and it's done extremely well.
A very short track list, but each song, being over 10 minutes, was so full of such emotion and perfectly encapsulated what it was trying to convey with each track in turn. Feelings of loneliness, isolation, and really just a craving for more are just a few of what I felt resonate within the tracks of this. I don't know normally listen to pure instrumental music, but this one right here was definitely something special.
I can understand only like 10% of what they're saying, but god do they make some good music.
Valeriey genuinely understands music at its core in their own way and that understanding shines in every release.
Making an album like this as a 18-19 year old is insane, Valeriey's has stardom level potential.
Ladies and gentleman, SAYA HAS DONE IT AGAIN. I've officially listened to all 3 of Saya Grays albums after listening to this and I can safely say that she has easily gone 3 for 3 with all of these albums. QWERTY I is where it seems Saya started going for the really experimental art poppy sound and my god she makes a great transition from indie/psychedelic folk to this. There's something about this that's full of freshness and just oozing amounts of creativity. Saya remains, even ... read more
I immediately jumped right to this record after listening to QWERTY II and I did not expect this at all. Opposed to her most recent projects sound of experimental art pop this album is some kind of experimental indie folk, and I must say, Saya makes it work EXTREMELY well and more so than I thought she'd be able to I have to admit. This album is way longer than QWERTY II or even the first one so I wasn't sure if this would be as fulfilling but it was even more than that, and I was ... read more
In my quest to increase my music library I've come across this, and oh boy is this a gem. To be honest my main reason for picking this is because the album cover looked interesting, but what was inside the album was even more interesting and covered in talent and incredible production. I love art pop and this album delivers exactly what I'd expect from such a genre, new and thrilling sounds while also taking influence from other genres to elevate it to a completely different level. ... read more
Clairo is an artist that I believe genuinely evolves with each and every project that she releases. Each and every time she finds a way to add something that shows a distinct difference between her albums, and I mean this in the best way. Personally my favorite album of hers is Sling, not only because it's something completely different from what she had previously done but also because of the feeling of intimacy that was present throughout the entire thing. I get the exact same feeling of ... read more
A day will never come when I'll not be able to appreciate Raveena, I mean how could you? In every project, every release, you can tell just how passionate she truly is for music and her craft, and "Where Butterflies Go In The Rain" is no different to this testament. Whether this is better than Asha's Awakening is hard to say. If anything I'd consider Asha's Awakening as Raveena's literal "awakening" into her current self as an artist, as it had a ... read more
