This is why I love music, even when you can't understand the language the music still speaks to you.
For the past few weeks I've just been listening to Photograph nonstop and I'm now just listening to the full album and I'm wishing that I got to it sooner because this is just amazing. Before coming upon Photograph I had never even heard of this guy. Photograph convinced me that he had talent but this whole album convinced me that he's borderline kind of a genius. His haunting vocals evoke such a sense of both sorrow and beauty. Not to mention or forget the beautiful and mesmerizing ... read more
The production on this is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE and honestly some of the best I've heard this year and pair that with Sampa's amazing deliveries and you get this gem.
This was my first time ever listening to Black midi but let me just say this was definitely an album. All jokes aside I really enjoyed this though, even when I had no idea what they were talking about, each song in itself is just a fun ride and very well made impressively.
This was definitely a good record that I enjoyed but I can't get past how his flow sounds too similar on a lot of the tracks and to a certain extent his voice and flow is a part of his charm as an artist but I just can't let it slide personally. The beats go expeditiously hard though.
Upon my first listen I thought this was alright. By the second listen I thought this was good. By the third listen I was convinced that this was honestly one of my favorite albums of the year. Just listen to it.
My god this is beautiful. I just decided to listen to this cause I liked the album cover and I don't regret it at all. First off, this guy's voice is fucking great and fits perfectly with the sound he seemed to be going for and all the songs just melt and blend together so beautifully one after the other. Great album goodness gracious.
Back to Black is an album that brings a blessing to the ears upon each listen that allows you to appreciate it more and more each time that you go back to it. Garnering sounds of R&B, pop, jazz, and soul, Amy Winehouse takes a deep dive into herself in Back to Black while also having a sound that is midly reminiscent of the 60s. Taking on each track with out of this world vocals and a passion that a lot of artists can only hope to achieve, Winehouse manages to create a masterwork of an ... read more
Considered by many to be The Strokes return to form, The New Abnormal is indeed abnormal, not in a bad way but in the way that they can return from a 7 year hiatus and with an album almost as good as their debut masterpiece, Is This It. Full of passion, The Strokes come together to create a sound that evokes such emotion in its listener to the point that you can't help but appreciate the clear hard work that went into the project as lead singer Julian guides us through what could be considered ... read more
This is possibly one of the most bizarre things that I've ever come upon. How one could manage to make an album this good and then just completely disappear in beyond me, especially when apparently the band were teenagers, so it's safe to say that they had incredible talent that could've blossomed into something possibly legendary if they kept at it. Felt is a self titled album that completely blew me away, especially with its songwriting that is actually incredible for a teenager to be able to ... read more
The fact that she was able to make an album like this at only 19 makes me appreciate this WAY more than I did before.
I don't know how anyone could consider this to be J.Cole's worst project, this is arguably his best and is (in my opinion) filled with more emotion than all of his other projects. This is the album where we really get to know him on a personal level through sincere and deep lyrics that still leave me in awe. Almost in the form of a diary J.Cole narrates a story of love, regret, and loss while showing a versatility that we've never really seen before and I can only hope that we get a masterpiece ... read more
It's amazing how an album can have such a mythical and enthralling sound that captivates you from start to finish with its light but sometimes heart wrenching lyrics. I still remember how I came upon this album. I remember just randomly going through Spotify trying to find new music and I saw the name of the album, thought that it sounded nice and decided to give it a listen. Upon the very first song I was honestly taken aback by just how beautiful it sounded. I quite literally just laid on my ... read more
