This album was never going to go down amazingly, The Weeknd dropped the dark rnb genre he pioneered into a much more pop focused record, however, it doesn't lose any of Abel's brilliance
Imo the weakest of his albums to date (yes its Dark Times fault).
Hardcore XO fans absolutely adore this album, and theres good reason for it. He's still not clean yet, he's open about the things he does during this era, the toxic love, the drugs, the alcohol, all of it is loud and proud in this album. And it lives up to the legacy that the mixtapes carved out. "This ain't nothing to relate to" he says. We know.
