Unfortunately there is not much excitement left from the band that gave us a handful of classic albums. Just like their previous self-titled album, it is over produced and lacks the horizon-glazing quality of their career heights. The slower cuts like Beginning From The Ending, River Road and obvious stand-out Time Waited are however good entries to their catalogue. Thankfully, they continue to release their MMJ Live series which is a must for all true fans.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is the best hip hop album ever recorded. Maybe. Possibly. Most likely.
MonstaBeatz beats kind of where it started for Spitta so expectations accordingly. But this is not even his best of the year and nothing I found worth revisiting.
