One of his best creations, dare I say the best. Okay, sonically, this album's decent, with some exceptional moments. But if you start to see the narrative (by watching the short film and reading the script), you'll know what a genius Donald Glover really is. He takes us to a story of a young nepo baby/trader-ish sigma named "The Boy". This story correlates with the growing Influencer culture, and the pop culture that we know and love today.
As we progress to the track ... read more
I loved this album so much. one of Peggy's best albums to date. The music is astoundingly colorful. full of life, dynamic. It's lyrics are strong, convulsing through the records, and making it a very complex piece of art. You've been unbearable, Peggy ;)
This album is everything. I love that he mixes electronic beats with rock and alternative sounds. It creates a record that's both personal, but also very raging. For me, this is like Utopia for experimental rap. It has every element you would want from a trap album.
The intense sound, fast bars, to the fleeting end. It also marks Peggy as one of the most creative and powerful producers of Hip-Hop to date.
This record marks the reinvention of Addison Rae, the then cringy tiktok influencer into an iconic alt-pop artist. She mixed Lana Del Rey's anthem with Britney Spears energy and charisma. I really am happy for her, that she finally could show this part of her personality.
As she said. "Taste is luxury", and it's apparent on the album. You can see many inspirations from the 2000s era of pop. She doesn't just create songs, but also ambience. This ambience is cleverly ... read more
What else can I say about this pop Bible? one of the most acclaimed pop albums of the 2020s, credited for bringing back 80s disco sound and a reminder of the recession pop era that we once had, just now with the pandemic. It perfectly close the early 2000s to the 2020s pop music, and the continuation of Dua Lisa's career as the princess of pop.
This album marks her reinvention as a Superstar. The glossy stage, clean choreography and stage charisma that she has perfectly fut the ... read more
Dua really needs to strengthen her vision when it comes to music, cause you can't just mix a bunch of genres and call it a day. You'll need to conceptualize it, in order to give the album cohesion.
nevertheless, this album corrects her stand as a patron of vague storytelling and immersive sounds. I do hope she really thinks about making an album that is both deep and sounded cohesive, even experimental
guys, I'm sorry to say this, but H2H needs a rebrand from their image and their music. They need to make more experiential sounds like The Chase, because they looked so nugu. I have no problem with this record, it's just to ordinary kpop-ish for me
Magbay is going to be the future of electropop, cause Imaginal Disk transform the sounds that many of their predecessor's can't, it's raw and amazingly designed to make you dance, cry, having an emotional breakdown. Personally, thus album is what I imagined when someone said that they had a lobotomy.
This is a great continuation of the sounds in Currents.
Kevin created luscious sounds and clever increments to smoothen the flow.of each tracks. I'm forever grateful that he created Posthumous Forgiveness and Borderline, cause those two are amazing lyrically and sonically.
Like guys, there's two types of pop artists, the one for the critics, and the one for that mass. So Close To What represents the mature reincarnation of the young Think Later.
It actually able to mix Tate Mcrae's strength, the confident miss possessive, and the sad introspective old Tate. She did a really great job continuing the pop sound, just like her predecessor, Ariana Grande, on Dangerous Woman (2016). And her dancing reignite the high-choreo and flashy stage charisma ... read more
DTMF really brings out the culture of Puerto Rican without any assimilation to the western world, which is surprising for a reggaeton artist. Bad Bunny shows us the pride of identity, and the fear of losing it's own meaning.
An astounding feet for Kevin as a producer, it's explosive, vibrant, experimental, and cohesive at the same time. The neo psychedelia with influence from rock and rnb creates a unique blend of soundscapes, beautifully done
I know Kevin has aged and those kinds of shit, but this album is flat as much as it's experimental. I do think that he needs to let his fans know the next album will be different than the more colorful Currents or Slow Rush. This is also a half-hearted experiment on electronic sounds. But nonetheless, his charm still ignites the overall records
