Most of the songs are ok and there and there are some really good ones but I think the second half of the album falls off. This is based on my first listen so maybe I will revise this scoring but as of the moment, I really don't understand why people rate this album so highly.
I listened to this on a long car ride home and it made the drive feel so much longer. I sat through the first couple of songs and they were pretty not good and I just kept waiting for the epic build up to one of the greatest songs of all time. "See you" was good but the album just feels so incohesive. Obviously "Everlong" was amazing but I really don't think that my listening experience was heightened by listening to this album. If "Poppies" and "Dog and his master" were better songs this would be a 100. Its a shame they both are kinda mid. I just think that all the other songs are so amazing that it outweighs their okayness
