This album stripped back the “loveless” aspect of shoegaze a bit to add some punkish, poppish vocals and sound palettes.
As somebody who wasn’t impressed by “spooky” as much, it was a welcome change of pace and reminded me of Curve’s “Doppelgänger” with the vibrance and energy added to the base shoegaze sound.
I think more shoegaze albums could implement these punk-ish, aggressive elements to diverse from the dreamy, ethereal aspects we ... read more
Simulation Swarm is one of my favorite songs of all time, so listening to the album has been a long time coming.
I saw the runtime of this album and was afraid that it would feel long and slow.
And well, it does feel slow.
Listening to this album literally made me feel like it slowed down time.

This is the single greatest experience I’ve had with D&B. I don’t think anything will top this yet
The biggest takeaway from this project was that I really need a Kevin Abstract x Quadeca collab album.
Simply the best jazz rap you’ll hear all year. It has the best jazz, and it has the best rap.
Not only is it a show of free-flowing beautiful instrumentals, it has Dixon filling any part of any song that could feel empty with impressive writing and storytelling, making for one of the most fulfilling listens I’ve had since a while.
One of the few gripes I had with Few Good Things was the somewhat lackluster production but this album just blew that criteria out of the water, insanely jazzy and soulful beat selections from No I.D.
The bars are also amazing even for Saba standards.
Some of the 1 minute tracks did sound undercooked and could have benefited from more length tho
Takes you on a ride through history, although effects may vary from chapter to chapter.
