Not a bad album but the concept behind it carried it much more than the music. There are still some stand out tracks on here like shy away and choker. Still one of my favorite eras though

This album is a full 38 minutes of an amazing experience. Every song has its own tone and sound with each sounding unique. Every listen I have of any of these songs makes me enjoy it just more and more every time. Both vocalists fit the songs they sing perfectly and the range of Geordie Greep help enhance the sound of every song he is in with the other singer helping fit the songs he is in. All together it flows greatly with no real weak link, just your order of favorites.

Lots of unique sounds throughout, just some sound bad or boring. Some songs have too much but it can work like the bass in Attention. A pretty good album for Joji's second drop and overall solid. It is constantly decent with no song being too bad but none other than Slow Dancing really excel.

Best - Slow Dancing in the Dark
Worst - RIP, Come Thru

A strong first album with a good introduction to how different Joji's sound is from most other artists. It takes a bit to get used to but once you are used to it every song of his feels great. Not every song here is amazing, but most are consistently decent and don't stray too far from that.

Best - Demons
Worst - Window

I wish this album was longer, it is so damn good but so damn short. Every song feels likes its just a blink and its gone and that's its only downside. Every song feels like I'm listening to a live performance with the mixing and production and the vocals just help emphasize and produce Jojis unique sound. This is an experience I wish was just longer.

Best - Die for You
Worst - Before the Day is Over

The strongest album from them by far. Every song feels amazing and has their own nice and differentiated feel from the last. It has a feel from each era while also feel refined and polished to where even some of their weaker points still sound great here. There are a lot of nods to earlier projects and songs with city walls referencing Holding onto You and heavydirtysoul and Intentions being a beautiful transition to repeat the cycle all the way back to Truce off of vessel.

I wasn't super hopeful for this when overcompensate dropped as a rollout single, but other than that the rest of the track list is really strong with whole experiences like Paladin Strait being the closing to this album with a very consistent and upbeat feel through a lot of these songs as the Josh stays with very fast 16ths on the kit for a few songs. A really good point in their career, a lot of these songs have good places and flows and feel really good. Each also feels distinct in the song composition and topic as none really feel the same as the last. It all adds up into a very nice record that is timeless. Overall a strong track list with many great songs.

Best - Legend, Neon Gravestones
Worst - Pick your least favorite

A good improvement and the introduction of my personal favorite drummer, Josh Dun. A lot of these songs sound very unique and different from the last and that is one the best things about 21 pilots is all the different sounds and styles you get to hear. This album really started their flow that would seep into later projects and really develop over the years.

Best - Trees
Worst - The Run and Go

A great album to start 21 Pilots off with. A good range of songs and styles from Implicit Demand for Proof having a very crash heavy sounds to Taxi Cab with such a nice put together piano melody. Some songs really bring it down in between, but there are a decent bit of songs with good substance in them.

Worst - Before you Start Your Day, The Pantaloon

I remember listening to this the day it came out and forgot most of what I listened to because of how forgettable and horrible this album was. It may not be my style, but there are a few good songs out of the 30. The most notable to me are Crush, Rather Lie, Backdoor, and Good Credit. It'd probably be in that order maybe swapping around Crush and Rather Lie for the best but the rest is just forgettable or memorably bad (looking at you Pop out and opi Babi).
