This is by far Sarah's most consistent album in terms of quality, and there aren't many songs on here that I would classify as particularly boring or uninspired. The one critique I have about it, however, is that it doesn't have highlights as good as the ones on "Surfacing" or "Afterglow". Still, it's better than most of her other projects. Just more boring Christmas songs about baby Jesus or something. Her rendition of "Let It Snow" is okay, and I like the string arrangements on "O Come All Ye Faithhful" and "Huron Carol"... and that's pretty much it for the positives. I went into this album highly skeptical. For starters, I don't like Christmas music, and generally speaking, Sarah McLachlan is far from being one of my favorite singer-songwriters.
