Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
100

A tough and depressing but worthwhile listen, absolutely incredible

REVISIT [95->100]:
Been on my mind so much since my first listens that I had to return and realised it is honestly so perfect of an album. Not often at all does music occupy my thoughts as much as this has.

Shabazz Palaces - Black Up
85

Some of the most unique and interesting hip hop I have come across

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

Although a great concept and album overall, it is inconsistent in quality unfortunately.

Hobo Johnson - The Revenge of Hobo Johnson

Wanted to give something with a low review a shot for a change to see if it was being unfairly hated and wish I hadn't for this album. There are some good topics on this album which are hard to take seriously with his mostly insufferable vocals over generic instrumentals. It both feels like it's supposed to be a complete joke on purpose but also not, especially since I only found the occasional lyric or sound here and there to be actually funny. This was a hard listen.

Kanye West - Yeezus
75

Great experimental album that if anything for me would be better if it leaned farther into that genre, since this album doesn't offer anything too great beyond its production to me. I have never been too keen on the samples used in bound 2, as well as the very jarring and out of place feeling bridge, and I am surprised the song is liked so much by so many.

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
70

A mostly successful mix of different sounds and ideas. Nothing particularly amazing but still some highlights, even though there isn't too many songs I could see myself returning to.

Gorillaz - Cracker Island
65

For a band with such creative albums and songs, this one is pretty bland for the most part sadly. I really don't know what they were thinking with the tired influencer especially, the many voice assistant sounds in the background feel like I am being interrupted constantly and its pretty frustrating.

Blood Orange - Champagne Coast
70

Really nice instrumental but find the refrain annoying

clipping. - Wriggle
70

Even though I am usually very fond of nearly everything clipping comes out with, most of the songs on this ep I am not keen on really much at all. Back up and hot fuck no love both have pretty weak features plus not their best instrumentals and not songs I would return to. However, I am still giving this a positive score because there is still 2 really great songs on here that save it for me and still is worth a listen.

will.i.am - T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)
15

Some of the worst but also funniest lyrics I have ever heard. What the fuck is the ending????

Injury Reserve - Injury Reserve
85

Very creative rap album

Tinie Tempah - Pass Out
85

🚨🚨 ULTRA BANGER ALERT 🚨🚨

Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory
85

Very great experimental album, production is insanely sick across basically every track and both Vince plus the many features sort of "hidden" on this album are great.

Bastille - Bad Blood
65

Maybe I don't like it nearly as much as I did a few years ago but I still find it a pretty good album for the most part, even with some pretty forgettable songs.

Bastille - Wild World
75

Good album that has some really great highs but most of it isn't super interesting even if still enjoyable. Probably their best album also for amount of highlights alone.

A$AP Rocky - HELICOPTER
80

Pretty sick beat and awesome music video but chorus not my favourite

Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury
85

Great classic album

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
100

Absolutely no low point, one of the best albums ever
