Where Dave fully builds on the promise he's shown throughout his career, and presents the messed-up, dark, troubling reality that he lives in and that is permanently troubling him mentally in the most coherent way that he's been able to so far. All of the seeds planted in Psychodrama, which was in itself a ridiculously mature album for an artist of his age at the time, bear fruit here, and the levels of meaning that he is able to portray in every track is incredible. An album that is more 'interesting' than 'good', but there's definitely something in here for everyone. It is, however, quite a bit overlong and incredibly undisciplined.
Frustrating. An album that shows how good Uzi could be at points, but which is pretty tediously one-paced for most of it, and a lot of the variations from just standard trap fare (such as the sampling/reworking in P2 and That Way) just come across quite gimmicky. Really feels like an album by an artist who could do much better and more interesting work, but instead is just playing it safe.
