Baby Rose - Through and Through

Sounds phenomenal most of the way through but only a handful of tracks have the lyrical depth necessary to pull it through for me.

d4vd - Petals to Thorns
NR

A sonically pleasant listen but I can't separate the horribly cliche lyricism enough to actually enjoy this. You could probably guess the next line on your first listen throughout most all of the EP. With it trying to go for an emotionally raw sound, the fact that the writing is so impersonal really makes this whole thing feel disingenuous.

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU

Definitely some really great moments, but many bars were rinsed before and lyrically devoid aside from braggadocio, not at all helped by the fact peggy hasn't innovated on his flows or delivery much. Aside, the mixing of a few tracks took me back unpleasantly. While there's undoubtedly a lot to enjoy, there's similarly a lot to be disappointed about comparative to his other releases.

Imogen Heap - Speak for Yourself

Been a big fan of Frou Frou for a while but have never got around to Imogen's solo stuff. This is, similarly to her work with Sigsworth, electro-pop way ahead of its time. Some great songs and beautifully arranged moments. Needless to say, the album cover is terrible though lmao

Denzel Curry - King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2

Generally entertaining, but Denzel's lack of enthusiasm and empty, if not sometimes questionable lyricism sum up to form a project far from his best work.
